Chartre smiles. "Heh. Might have taken a while, but it paid off! I passed my Semblance Analysis test!" Chartre breaks into a fullout grin as he says this.

"Firstly, I expected Grimm to interfere, and yet not a one was to be seen.  And secondly, you might want to learn to watch your tone, especially when I am about to offer you one on one tutoring."

"Now that should be interesting. What have you got in mind? Because at the moment, the plan is to either stab or grab Grimm and hold on for dear life until the Aura burns them alive."

A list of necessary material is passed out for the Dust manipulation class, it is simple, requiring only your weapon, a pen, and a notebook, apparently, Professor Ma provides most of the necessary material otherwise.

All students done with their combat eligibility tests are escorted out of the auditorium, leaving Braith, Slate, and Carran with the Ponzini sister as the last people to fight.

"This tutelage will likely be under professor Oliva here." She motioned to the oddly dressed instructor that had watched his fight.  "And he will determine the best course of action for you."

Justine and Emeril makes it to Dust manipulation with everyone else.  (unless they wanted to test out of something other than combat training.)

Maeve and Lloyd goes to their second test of the day, Grimm studies 101.

Emeril sits alone in the class, weapon already on her with her other required materials. Shes still in her combat gear for the class due to still being tired from the test, but will change after the class.

(Note to self, remember to try and get Emeril into advanced combat training later.)

"What? Worried what might happen? No need; I'll show you anyway!"

Amber dashed forward, slashing upwards with her blade in an uppercut, intending to do one of three things, any of which was possible and advantageous; knock Indigo off his feet, knock the scythe out of his hands, or get a good smashing hit in, to slam into his Aura as hard as possible. The sword was an aggressive weapon, unlike the whip, and comparatively close range. It needed to be used as such...

The sword and scythe collide as intended but something doesn't happen. Indigo stays on his feet despite the force put into the blow. He sends the bladed end towards Amber's face while one of his legs shoot out to trip her since they're in tight quarters. It may also be her imagination but she could almost swear Indigo is growling.

Slate looks around, attempting to locate a partner.

Shifting up one side of the sword to shield her face, Amber spots movement out of the corner of her eye and instinctively kicks, foot aiming for the back of Indigo's knee. The angle isn't quite right, and she stumbles, but the girl comes back up and around swinging, a heavy blow over head to try and force him down, if she couldn't force him back.

What Amber didn't think about was the fact that Indigo still had his mighty shaft at the ready to catch the blow. He is however brought on one knee in an attempt to hold the blade away from his head. He spends a few moments grunting as he thinks about what he should do to get the sword away from his bit and quickly decides on pushing up and to the side to knock the blade away before bringing the downward facing end of his scythe towards Amber's side. This however is a ruse as he lets go of the end and follows through by dashing at her shoulder first to knock her over when she tries dodging.

Amber wasn't in a mood to dodge at the moment; with a whip, she had no choice.

With a sword? Parrying was easy. She smashed his scythe aside, only to grunt as he slammed into her, rolling with the fall and coming back up on her feet, leaping forward again to try and capitalize on him having lost control of his scythe; a rapid series of blows, followed up by pulling the sword back around as if to deliver a massive strike. She began to swing with it, but the maneuver was a feint as she instead thrust heavily at his stomach and side, trying to finish this bloody contest of wills and skills.

Indigo would have kept fighting if it wasn't for his scythe flying over the edge of the arena. He stares at it for a few moments before raising his hands in surrender.

Panting, Amber leans on her sword and nods to him, then puts her hand out to shake.

"You're a....much better...fighter than...I thought...you'd be..."

Indigo doesn't shake it. He just glares at it before muttering.
"My name isn't Goat Boy."

"Then what is your name? Only thing I really know about you right now is that there are a lot of goats where you come from." she says, one eyebrow raised.
