Indigo's response gave Chartre pause; he (slightly) let up the pressure on the chest of Carran's shooter, and appeared to calm down from furious to just extremely upset.
"Voice? Like... like... 'D--'" Chartre swallowed. "Like 'Don't worry, the pieces aren't even set yet?' I-- I heard that too, but I didn't think it was real..."
