"Well, you know, living as far out as we did has some dangers. Like, not being as able to go to hospitals. And my mom and dad, they... They were strong people, strongest I've ever known. Some mean motherhubards found our little shake, beat them up. Threw them into sacks with some snakes. I... I shoulda ran when I had the chance, but I had to stay and watch for them. To see if they'd survive. They didn't... But, my papa would always tell me that sometimes stuff like that happens. And you just gotta move on."
Ian shakes his head.
"I couldn't. That why I worked hard to some here. So I could help people avoid that pain... I guess that why this is causing me such distress."

She appears mildly moved, "I am human."

Falu remains silent.

"Well um... I can't really put it on you as you are awake and you haven't given me consent to help you... so... uh, I suppose that if you don't want me here, I can leave you with your friend to... uh, talk.  Would that be better?" she seems eager to please.

Ian looks at Gale with an unreadable expression.
"Yeah, you don't keep up that kind of lie if you aren't."

If you thought that her pupils were slits before, you have no idea how she can see. I am human.

Ian pauses as he tries to collect his thoughts.
"Okay, I didn't have something to end that sentence. Um... Sorry for not believing your human?"

Falu shakes her head in a yes motion.

"Well, I am." her body is still awkwardly positioned and she speaks using as little mouth movement as possible. 

Falu shakes her head in a yes motion.

The nurse nods back and quietly excuses herself.

"Alright... Now then, I'm going to go see if I kind find my last teammate who's either been crushed to death or disappeared. Or been kidnapped. Or any number of unpleasant things really. Try not to lay like that to long Gale, it'll mess your back up."
Ian goes off to try and find clues to the case of the disappearing teammate.

She almost immediately begins to scream as soon as Ian leaves the room, it is the frustrated scream of someone who knows that they are wrong, but won't admit it.  "No!  No,nonono!  I am human!  I am! _{I am...}" her voice just barely reaches you through the door as it sounds muffled, almost as though she is screaming into a pillow. 

You could stay with her or check about for your teammate, Connor Fetti, a very colorful young man whenever you see him.  He tended to keep to himself whenever weapons or machines weren't the topic of discussion.  The first place to check would probably your room if you do go looking for him.

"Gale?"

*sniff* "I thought you left." Apparently non - human eyes do not mean no tears.  Her head is buried in the pillow.

Ian bites his lip.
"You were yelling loud enough for me to hear. You sure you don't want to talk about what ever... that... was about?"

"I was born on Menagerie, a continent with no kingdom and no huntsmen of any value. My parents were killed by Grimm when I was four.  I was then put into an orphanage, but only human children were ever adopted. So, I am human. And nothing else."
