Falu nods to the last thing the nurse said.

The nurse nods and retrieves a hospital gown from the closet and places it on Falu. Better?

"Errmmmm... nnno, haven't seen your team anywhere, uh... Ceil, I can't find Cordo..."

She makes a worried face, looking at him, and then looking around the medical ward briefly, hoping to at least see him with the injured, if nothing else.
"Oh my gosh... D-do you think he's alright? I didn't see him in the b... in the battle..."

"Come on, I wanna apologize."

_"Mhm..."

"Got it!  Raven, Braith we're moving." one of the sisters calls as she pockets her scroll.

"Come on, I wanna apologize."

"So? Whats stopping you?"

Ian pauses.
"A door and a realization that I have no idea what to say that probably stems partly from the fact that until a few months ago I've never been around new people long enough to put my foot to far in my mouth to recover from it. Also, I actually have no idea what I said or did that would upset you. I'm bad with people..."

"So you have no idea what you're apologizing for. Typical." her voice is venomous and sad, but you hear the door unlock.

Ian opens the door and walks in with a sigh.
"Yeah, that's... kind of something that happens with me...."

You round the corner of the room.  She's curled up on the small bed, "reading" an old magazine, her eyes are slitted, her jaw is tight, and she looks for all the world like a snake feeling threatened.

Chartre isn't all there, Ceil may notice-- not in any sort of mortal condition, but... well, he seems a just a very little drunk.
"Nnno, he's not in here, uh, I looked."

Ian sighs and sits against the wall.
"If I ask would you tell my what I did to offend you so?"

She obviously heard you as her body almost appears to coil tigher, but she merely flips a page in the magazine

Ian rubs his eyes.
_{"You know, I think it was easier to watch my parents die than to do this..."}

She at least looks at him this time.

"Well, you know, living as far out as we did has some dangers. Like, not being as able to go to hospitals. And my mom and dad, they... They were strong people, strongest I've ever known. Some mean motherhubards found our little shake, beat them up. Threw them into sacks with some snakes. I... I shoulda ran when I had the chance, but I had to stay and watch for them. To see if they'd survive. They didn't... But, my papa would always tell me that sometimes stuff like that happens. And you just gotta move on."
Ian shakes his head.
"I couldn't. That why I worked hard to some here. So I could help people avoid that pain... I guess that why this is causing me such distress."
