Chartre switches Mistrelle to spraygun form and starts firing red dust in the direction of some of the larger groups of Shadows he has to contend with. Is he still near Ceil?

Falu begins to struggle harder and screaming louder. Subconsciously, her Semblance begins it's standard form of defense, trying to change the direction of the darkness, attempting to propel it away.

(68) You cant really change the direction of an omnipresent force, but it does seem to have slowed in what it is doing, whether or not that is a good thing remains to be seen as it also seems to be solidifying into a form not your own.

In that case...
Maeve spawns a glyph, attempting to burn the shadow away, giggling maniacally.

(47+10) The glyph bursts into flames around the orb, doing causing superficial damage to the outside, but it does appear to work.

Ceil continues to try and push the shadows back, using a magazine of Ice Dust now to help control the crowd.

(2) your weapon jams and you manage to fix it, only to find a shadow bearing down on you.  At this point you have a choice, either  pour as much of your aura as you can into this bullet to shoot and freeze yourself, or be caught by the shadow.  You suppose that if you are fast enough, and if it doesn't dodge, you might be able to stop it, but it will be difficult.

(35) It destroys one, only for four more to attempt to orb it.  The Ursa disappears, and the shadows reform.

(72) Ian activates one of the dust canisters in his gauntlet (crystals are for senior classmates and the extremely wealthy) releasing a massive gust of wind from his claws, cutting through a number of shadows and saving a couple of beleaguered students.
((If you use sora for anything, I'm going to make it a wind based attack.))

(58) And whirl you do, a number of shadows do fall, but it is mostly light damage.

He is still near Ceil. (81+10) The spraygun turned flamethrower wipes an incredible number of shadows from the field, as they burn quite rapidly.

(45 +10) the fervor of battle has slowed as the number of combat-able shadows has significantly decreased as others catch on to their fire vulnerability.  Additionally, the shadows that Professor Fae is holding at bay and indeed all of the shadows have begun to smoke as though they are disappearing.  The orbs however seem to be a bit more resistant.

Ceil thought briefly. Very, very briefly. Either get caught, freeze herself and possibly get caught still, or fight back? For her, the answer was simple: She swings the axe side of her weapon at the shadow, trying to take it down before it could... do whatever it does.  She applies a bit of extra push to the swing's power using her own semblance, as she does so.

(69 so close) The axe comes up and decapitates the charging shadow.  However, that does not stop its momentum. The rest of the body crashes into Ceil and begins to form itself around her.  A quick move might let her escape it.

She struggles, hurriedly, trying to get out. At least part one worked. Sort of.

Falu keeps up what's she doing. She's freaking out, but at least she's stopped screaming.

Chryssa sends herself flying backwards with a shot, spiraling towards the bubble that surrounds her new friend.

You make it there due to covering fire from your teammates.

(23) Nothing you do seems to be changing your situation as the orb solidifies; however, you seem to be able to see again, rather well in fact. A quick check of your feet reveals a comforting and familiar light slowly filling from the floor and pouring from some holes in the wall, like those surrounding your arms and tail.  Where the multicolored light touches you, there is a disturbing sense of peace, it would almost be pleasurable if your brain didn't recognize it as wrong.  Additionally the whispering that you barely heard before is more audible now that you've stopped screaming.  As far as you can tell, it is nonsense.

(88) You tear yourself free and turn about, firing an ice bullet into your assailant, freezing it solid.  You resume your original plan and shoot and freeze a number of other shadows.  It looks like Chartre was going to try to help you, but you managed just fine.

(41+10) You ignite your claws and charge into the fray, unfortunately, the first one you cut solidifies as you cut it, stopping your momentum, the shadow is very definitely dead though.

(54) she seems perfectly capable of doing it herself, so instead you resume destroying the creatures.

(91) The faculty and students are mostly performing a mop up operation at this point, the shadows are clearly weakening, and a smaller number of students are fighting them.  Flame is being projected at the various orbs scattered across the courtyard, though none are showing any signs of significant damage yet.
