Seriously!? I just didn't want to hear about the third Russia-USA war for Middle Eastern oil that turned into WW3 and then nukes happened. MAGIC is most DEFINITELY something I'd have liked to know about! Please forward it to me.

Well he is on right now, you would probably get a more detailed version from him.

((Yo Stirk, mind sending me that back story back. I want to keep it as consistent as possible. It's going in the OP))

I'm going to be honest. I liked it better when the setting was 'place got nuked. there's elves and redguards now too. mutants are a thing. make a city state and go nuts.' Now there's a bajillion races, friggin MAGIC, and way too much backstory going on which isn't very conducive to the freeform histories of the current city states. That's not even getting to making an entire race a bunch of nazis. Now Sapiastan seems tame in comparison and a lot less unique. I'll still play to see how it turns out but still...

Sigh

Those over races don't come in till later and the chunk that is being played now lasts hundreds of years
I really doubt we will play all the way to the empire invasion

Even if we did we could just derail the story completely and keep going

That's just the story as of current to my friends game

This one is in a
World got nuked now these things are here

I recommend just going for the old, non-magic formula from before with the three races. If not that, then at least spoiler the history that hasn't happened yet and also clarify that we are playing BEFORE all that future stuff happens. So long as our play is actually capable of changing the future of the world, I'll be content. I'd also like to see this friend's game so that I can see where all these... things... are coming from.

I meant the game I'm running my friends through

All these other games I've got running on the forums are outside the per are history and I just take bits and pieces and throw them in as fun story

And magic in this thread is literally so terribly low level that it has now pull on anything
The game we were playing before is the same as it is now

Well, if there's no changes from what we had before I guess it's fine, though it seems some people (Aseaheru for instance) are against it on principle. I still think that the only backstory in the OP should reflect only non-future stuff. So basically war happens, elves and redguards, city states emerge.

Ya that's basicaly it

But I'll have all this crap down on the actual game when I get it running
So this is still just a mock game

Since this is a mock game, is it ok for me to send my five armies to attack each of my five neighbours? Specifically, I ask if that'll carry over into the proper game because normally I would NEVER do something so stupid.
