Looks fun, I'll claim a plains spot if it's open.

Name of nation: City of Norogoth
Location: west plains
Military: weak (no formal military except for a small police force, army is recruited for individual conflicts)
Government: Tribal Democracy (Most power rests in clan groups in and around the city.  Each elected leader has specific responsibilities and are generally respected or influential individuals among the clans.)
Peoples: Humans (red guards and elves make up less then 1% of the population)
Law: mild (Most disputes are handled through informal negotiations despite there being written laws)
Religion: Open Polytheism (Atomic the wrathful sky-sun god and the sheltering Earth-Mother are worshiped alongside a variety of mystery cults and foreign gods, lots of (drunken) celebrations)

Founded by the great hero Norog who brought a group of warring farming villages together to fight off an invasion, then left to the east to face a great evil and never returned.  The large city primarily serves as a trading and cultural hub for the independent farm villages nearby.

Politics open- establish trade with whomever you want
Areas with now food income must trade for food
Areas that border the river can trade with both mountain areas, the east hills, ice flats, and both the woods and forests (which means anybody in those areas can trade with the other areas listed)

News open- will be posting non-big political, natural disaster, mutant attacks, and seperatist news

Politics should be posted like so
[In Serbis news today, the trade official offers a trade agreement with Siglyguard. The offer is hill land food for mountain metal]
This is my countries political news, I will wait for a respons from the east hills. You can not trade with areas on the opposite side that don't border the river. So the deserts can't trade with eachother. The ice flats border both deserts (the ice flats is in the north and is on both sides of the River), they can also trade with east hills and both mountain ranges and of course all other places that border the river.

(I will post news whenever I feel like it so always be watching for it, how your country reacts to it decides what happens to your city state as an aftermath)

In Great River news, an anarchist party has begun to rise up in the city states

[Serbis Begins Public Executions Of Anarchist Party Members]
(Post responses to the great river news as shown above, that is also my city states reaction to the anarchist uprising)

[Sigylguard accepts Serbic trade offer, and extends an offer to Sapiastan, offering Sigylian steel for Sapian wood.]

[Sigylguard locks the anarchists away for 10 years.]

((Hmm, mind elaborating on the events and such some more? I think the game could really benefit from the flavour. Also giving everyone an overview of their respective areas mechanics-wise would help clarify a few things too.))

(I will elaborate when I have a computer, not that easy to type block texts with a cell phone)
(I guess I can give a bit more detail on the anarchist group soon but not now)

[Boroshka's minister of trade sends an offer to the Byzantine Confederacy, offering slaves in exchange for lumber.]

[Boroshka's minister of law removes any and all government protections from the anarchists. Let's see how well they fare without the government's help when every slaver in the city can legally make a profit off of them.]
