Graphic Set Documentation

Is there any documentation of the text files for graphics sets?  The wiki has a page for tilesets, but the graphics set one just redirects to graphics set repository.
I've mostly been having to work by looking at existing graphics sets and seeing what they did, but I'm probably missing things along the way.

The best documentation I could find is an old 40d discussion; the only outdated portion I see off hand is the zombie/skeleton versus animated part.

I was planning to write a page on the wiki for this, my user page has a first draft of it, but I didn't get to write it yet. There was some discussion at the end of this thread. I wanted to make another discussion thread about it on the tileset forum, so I can get some opinions and help from other tileset creators.
I'll see what I can do next week.
