Ah, no problem.

@Cat: Also, is my Elven Grace racial being rolled auto, or do I have to specify it being used?

Sorry. That's kind of what happens in a level 1 fight. Most of your opponents are mooks and therefor have no special abilities to throw at you.

This being play-by-post, perhaps consider throwing fewer mooks at us altogether? Maybe abstracting mook fights entirely?

Yeah, but it's tricky-they could probably kill someone at our level. She could time warp the combat until required our input during mook fights, I suppose...

Getting killed by mooks is no fun and doesn't make narrativistic sense, fighting mooks is little fun and takes entirely too long. So why not get rid of the grind (maybe rolling for HP loss or losing 0-2 recoveries per what would ostensibly be a combat segment) entirely?

I don't picture Alicia taking too much damage in combat, staying at the back and pew-pewing, but I'm ok with things focusing on narrative over mechanical combat.

Let's take a vote, shall we? I added a poll.
Also, ignore one vote on that first option. I had to vote or it wouldn't let me see the results for some dumb reason.

I don't really care either way.

Alright, since nobody's voting, I'll just go with ending this fight and having you each lose a recovery from fatigue/battle damage. I'm also throwing in a boss that I was planning on bringing in anyway. Just a heads-up.

...there was a vote?

Darn. :/

Anyway I agree with that.

Didn't even notice that, sorry.

Honestly, I think mooks are nice alongside stronger enemies, but by themselves? meh.

edit: will/would we be able to request custom feats/talents at any point? Or items to accomplish similar things?

There wasn't a 'I don't have an opinion' option.

They were... The warriors were mooks. The hounds were normal enemies.

I know. Though I was thinking by 'stronger enemies', ones that gave buffs to the minions while they're still around, or can use the mooks as cover. Synergy being used against us, ya know?

Also, as a note, just in case you can't access the pdf(though there is an srd online, which is nice), Fearless gives me a +1 bonus to attack rolls against enemies not engaged by any of my allies, or +2 if that enemy has a fear ability. Implacable may come in handy if I catch on fire. Paladin's Challenge requires me to hit them first(I'm not sure if it can be a Smite; if it can be, then I want to smite him as I attack, this turn(quick refresher: I get another +4 to attack when I smite, and deal +1d12 damage, and half-damage on a miss)), and gives both me and them a -4 to attack anyone else or disengage from each other.

Once I take Bastion and Way of Evil Bastards, my job will be to Challenge the biggest and baddest enemies to keep them busy while everyone else either kills off the other things or deals the real damage. Smiting is certainly nice, but the number of uses doesn't even scale up with level. Ever(level bonuses to Charisma don't count). So...only so much I can do with that.
