GMing multiple games
« on: September 27, 2014, 01:27:36 pm »

I am thinking of doing a few suggestion games and play at your own pace roll to dodge games
I already have two play at your own pace games (roll to adventure and in search or sanctuary)
But I'm not sure if it's ok to have like 5-6 games going

3 of them (including roll to adventure) would be set in the same place just different era's and the other 2-3 would be in their own maps/areas and completely unrelated to those (in search of sanctuary is one of these)

The real question I guess is, is it ok to GM 5-6 games at the same time

I'm the guy who runs like 7 DnD campaigns, so, in my opinion, you can probably manage it.

The only real problem is when you have to make those long-winded plot advancements and/or forget that one of your games exists, but if you have a spare half an hour to an hour on a regular basis, you can GM several things at once and get by.

As long as you don't fuck up and mix them together, it's perfectly alright.

I don't see why not. More game is always good, if you can keep up.

It all depends on how much free time you have. Try not to burn yourself out

Ok

I'll be releasing a couple suggestion games and another two Roll to adventure games based in different time periods of the river empires (those games will be used to create !!fun!! Stories inside of a table top campaign I made for my friends)

Just wanted to make sure that it was ok, didn't want to be a game spammer

It all depends on what you can handle.

For example I find that I can GM one game (not roll to dodge) happily and anymore than that and I get a bit overworked and start to burn out. (mind you, this is because I don't run modules)

Yet I know DMs who can handle a LOT more with or without modules. There are some who can make up campaigns on the spot and never have to prep.

can YOU handle multiple games?

Ok one more question, to those that are or have been in my games. How good am I at GMing?
