"I could carry you onto the front line of a fight if I'm that bad. I'm sure you'll do much better."

"Hm, so you're saying that you would also go off half-cocked without a second thought? Is this a regular habit for your sort, or have you sustained greater-than-normal levels of brain damage? That's not to suggest that I have much interest in that field, but I know of several who might find a case study to be enlightening. For a favor or three in return, naturally."

"I believe that's what we're doing-at least...we are going in the right direction, to tell the King our limited findings. These two are just engaging in what your landwalking peoples would call 'male jousting', I believe the term is. Their apparent hostility masks the fact they are secretly very good friends, if not lovers." Deadpan. "You didn't introduce yourself." Tai states.

[Flying Dice]

Eldas exclaims suddenly, "Aha, you clearly have not even the feeblest understanding of my arcane might. Tainting my loins would undoubtedly ruin my ability to wield powers beyond your ken, and thus is the least likely thing to ever occur!"

"... She was talking about arguing. Not... whatever you're talking about."
Kyle steps as far away from Eldas as possible.

The party, followed by the guards, leaves the princess's room. After a long walk back to the throne room, you find the king still sitting on his throne, feeding the little dragon bits of charred meat. He glances up at you as you enter.

"Did you find anything of interest?" He asks.

[Flying Dice]

"... She was talking about arguing. Not... whatever you're talking about."
Kyle steps as far away from Eldas as possible.

"I can honestly say I never expected to see the day where I'd need to explain what lovers are to a man full grown," Eldas utters in the flattest of all possible deadpans.

[Dwarmin]

Realizing no one was going to speak up, Tai did it for them.

"...We found the Princess's journal, with some pages missing...and we have an idea where we might find those pages. It's only a single clue...given the dangers my, hmm...friends found-someone had enchanted the furniture to assault them...

And, I suppose I owe you an apology, King. I had intended to move in and out of your castle without being seen-owing to the fact it's likely the culprit is someone you know, I did not wish to alert them...but, I found a group already searching and joined them...to avoid a conflict.

I present you now with a writ of enforcement from the Darfellan Princess Ell'kiou'ko, a dear friend of mine-authorizing me to join the search on behalf of the Darfellan Peoples. I am here to bring justice for your princess, and find out if this represents is a wider danger, that may threaten my peoples communities residing in the Onryx Bay."

She bowed and handed a small stone tablet to an envoy to present to the King.

The king, at first, seems quite disgruntled at the fact that Tai had broken into his castle, but he accepts the tablet. After examining it closely, he seems to calm down.

"It has been many years since I heard from Princess Ell'kiou'ko. I understand your reasoning, but it is curious that your people seek to impact our world. Nonetheless, I welcome your help, Taiuli." He sits the tablet on the arm of his throne. "The enchanted furniture was most likely my daughter's doing. I taught her the means to create them. They were meant to protect the journal, no doubt. Did you find anything more than ripped pages in the journal?"

[Dwarmin]

"Princess Ell'kiou'ko is a reformer-she seeks stronger ties to your dry world. She would not do so if she did not also take a hand in learning it's potential dangers. Consider me the shape of things to come...

...and, I could tell you more, King, but it may impact further investigation and possibly imperil your daughters life. I can tell you what else I have learned, but you may be better kept in the dark-you might not like what you hear, and it will force you to undertake certain actions...a choice between duty and love, that I do not wish upon anyone. I promise you, it is only in the purpose of accomplishing this task that I would suggest such a thing.

The decision is yours, of course." She says carefully.
