Kyle says sarcastically.

[Nerjin]

"Oh? I-I'm sorry." Melon shrinks in on herself in an attempt to hide from Kyle's disdain.

Kyle shakes his head at the half-orc.
"Not you honey, The order lady."

[Silthuri]

The elf laughs. "Oh, no. I don't do magic. It was the princess herself who set the traps. We just knew how to bypass them. We hoped they would deter anyone else from pursuing the princess, but it seems we were wrong. Since you surpass the ability of normal adventurers, I'd like to offer you a partnership of sorts."

[Flying Dice]

"So long as that doesn't involve any more... eeh, rather pitiful animated boxes attempting to bait me into wasting my precious magical juices, such an arrangement may be, ah, acceptable?"

[Silthuri]

"Perhaps." Although you can't see it, you can hear the smile in her voice. "I shall be blunt with you. We are planning to usurp the throne. The king has a great many... dirty secrets that make him unfit to rule. The Order is sworn to serve the king, but his crimes have made him unworthy of our service."

[Flying Dice]

"If your judgement is such that you openly reveal that to hired agents of the, ah, monarch, I think I'd rather stay far away from you."

[Nerjin]

"Do-does she have proof?" Melon asked her allies.

"I mean, it's not like either us or them has any obvious advantage over the other. We only have the word of one woman and she has... just as much."

[Silthuri]

Anger glints in the woman's eyes when proof is mentioned. "You want proof? Look at what the Ghosts have become. Once, we were a band of honorable warriors. Do you know why we were called the Ghosts? We never demanded recognition for our deeds. We did everything in our power to help the people. Our healers tended to the sick and wounded. Our fighters cleared out bandits and guarded caravans. It was only when we grew in power that the King took notice. He killed My Lady's beloved and turned his body to ash, lest she resurrect him. But the king kept a finger with which to manipulate My Lady. She tried to steal the finger from the king, but could not. Now, we serve at the whim of the King as assassins and spies." She pauses to take a shaky breath. "He destroyed my order, just as he will destroy the kingdom. The princess has seen his atrocities with her own eyes. I can take you to the princess, if it would quell your worries to speak directly to her."

Another member of the Order approaches and whispers something in the woman's ear.

"If you wish to see the princess, come to the Golden Flask just outside the walls of the city just after midnight. Breathe not a word of this to anyone else. We are watching you." With that, the woman and her companion disappear into the crowd.

Kyle tilts his head to the side.
"... You guys might not think it's the best idea, but I trust her."

[Flying Dice]

"...Records? Or rather, spellbooks, ehe. I would not be adverse to aiding you instead, if you were to provide me with materials to expand my knowledge."

[Nerjin]

"I-I think we should hear her out."

[Nerjin]
