Instead of a 1-dimensional spectrum from happy to sad, we may have a 119 dimensional space that has to be kept balance in each dimension, or things may spiral out of control.

But they may not be tantrum spirals. Maybe they'll be lust spirals, where all your dwarves end up in a big, naked scrum in the middle of the dining hall. Or OCD spirals, where dwarves start rampaging through your fort, rearranging furniture so all the colors are aligned just right. Or combined OCD/lust spirals, where all your dwarves are naked in your dining hall, but correctly organized by beard color and length.

Have them killed. Nothing solves a problem quite as effectively as simply having it killed.

What I one day hope for, are dwarves who get happy thoughts from attacking specific creatures. Sadistic dwarves who get happy thoughts from punching other dwarves. One dwarf punched just a little too hard and caved in Urist's skull, and has to be hammered to teach em a lesson. Maybe he gets away with it and finds he suddenly enjoys the life of a serial killer, and starts beating people to death in their sleep like a vampire does. Oh the potential story telling.

OCD isn't an emotion....

Also, not sure if the 48 emotions that he hadn't finished typing up text for at the time of the devlog are among the 119 or if the full number is actually going to be 167 individual emotions.

Looking forward to seeing this in both fort mode and adventure mode.

Sounds like it will go from one-dimensional (happiness) to two-dimensional (stress / stability).  The 119 different thoughts just have impacts on those two axis.
