Steve, we are VERY rapidly losing all control over the Eater. It should settle down once the sun rises, but we're in a damn hard spot right now.

If you've got a card to play, now's the time.

...maybe it won't murder us?

"Hm. Dubs, make sure there is way out at all times. I will check inside."
"Sure. Be careful down there Chief. Remember not to lean against anything."

Keep the entrance unblocked, and be ready to rescue Chief if it is needed.

((I just laughed my ass off.  On another note, we need Gorat to not go into stasis and instead try to sandcastle the Eater again.  It is our best shot!  You can trust my reasoning: I'm the guy whose character is on fire and missing several limbs.))

This was definitely Tek's worst day ever.  Sometimes he felt that some uncaring God was drunk when he was created.  Tek wasn't pondering that right now, of course: mostly his thoughts consisted of inarticulate screaming.

Wheww man.  Wow.  Uhh let's see.  Take off the suit as best as possible and start rolling around?  Yeah, that sounds good.
EDIT: Also, drink potion douse self with potion number 23 real quick.

It's weird, because the Eater isn't really hostile. The balls came out of the desert (which may or may not have been its doing), it started floating off into the desert (ditto), but other than that, it's just gotten really hot (heat as a waste product?) and reacted to whatever we've done.

((True, it hasn't really tried to kill us of its own initiative.  It probably just wants to escape into space.  At the same time, though, Steve told us that a previous Eater's ascendance was responsible for a good chunk of the desert on this planet and also (I think) the destruction of at least one city.

Imagine what that kind of force would look like at ground-zero for our characters.  I think it's important to contain this thing both for our characters' health (excluding mine-- mine is completely hopeless) and for this planet's civilization.  My question is: how to do it?  Gorat's sandballing action seemed mostly successful, but definitely has to be reinforced by something as the Eater continues to try to escape.

EDIT: Taddok has a flashbang.  Maybe...?  Nah.))

I suppose you could hook it up to the suit's power and drain that to overpower the heat gun. Would probably destroy the heat gun in the long run, more then likely damage the suit too, but it's something.

"Oh god damnit, I'm going to die in this hell hole... This planet better be useful in this war!

Do the thing! (And by the thing, I mean overpower my heat gun using the power from my suit, and try and blow as much sand into the eater sand ball as I can) "Hey Steve! Is there any spare amp users who could help back us up? We have found a containment method that sort of works. Containing the eater in sand seems to work, but it tries to break out, so we need to constantly add more sand, so a giant fan or something similar would prove useful as well "

((Yeah, the majority of us don't really have the right tools for the job. At least not obvious tools like the manips and amps used so far.))

"Pull Bitches!"

Don't even remotely try diplomacy to non-agressive former team members. Let piecewise not even remotely give this mission several turns of chance whilst people fap about and do nothing. Be a happy, nice, fairly reserved and useful Sambo Jin/Eater of Cold. Let pw control this in that way that might not end up as a total team kill.

((still relevant to most of the iconography of this mission.

Think, Bitches! Outside the box! Maybe your other people in teams ON THE SAME FUCKING PLANET AS YOU, but doing other stuff, yet completely within communication distance, and probably helping distance, could help you. Because, you know. Teamwork and RPGs/RTDs and stuff......... They may even have interconnected problems with yours.......
))
