"The ground will pay for that!"

Pick up the broken piece of my pickaxe. Gonna have to get this repaired.
Laser through the ground with one of my spaceship opening lasers.

((Assuming Han is with the rest of the team.))

Stick with Chief and Dubley, try to avoid the eater if it happens to near us.

"Uh, guys... If that isn't a planet... is it maybe related to the eater? I hope not, but I suppose it's possible?"

RUN. PW SAID RUN. I AM RUNNING.
Han is with Chief and Dubley. Don't you try to teleport you lazy person.

Stay behind and try and stop whatever Chin has started. If I can't, and Chin is stable enough to grab, grab him, enter the void, and run like cheap paint.

Somewhere from beyond the grave, the pure, belligerent, fuck-you essence of Sambo Jin gives everyone the finger and takes a swig of probably flaming vodka. He then starts punching the red-moon-/-possible-new-Eater-of-Cold-insemination-thing with "his" mind. Using a drunk Eater-of-Cold's mind. Which is hopefully good at doing this kind of shit. Or good at killing anyone in the general vicinity of it while it's getting ready to ward off moon-stuff. It's not like Sambo liked them anyway, and they haven't done shit yet. But he's got all kinds of weapon'y stuff now. Kill moon stuff! Or people! People are good!

"Faaaaarrr rrr cccccc kkkkkkk !!!!!!!!!"

((Oh god. Sambo is going to have to call someone "daddy", while in Eater-possessed form. Poor Sambo. Lol. At least he can kill stuff still, even if this action isn't counted. Until moon-impregnation at least. Then people can call him mommy.))

No! We can't run away from danger like cowards! Sand it more, Gorat! MORE! We must restrain the Eater, with whatever tools we have!

"Dubs, do not use laser. May anger spirits of earth, agitate artifacts, hurt you, me or early brain death people. May not work in the first place. Have alternative plans. Will listen?"

Step (or climb) away from Dubley's impending laser bonanza.

If he starts cutting with his laser, step away further.

If his efforts fail or he opts to not cut with the laser, see if I can't get through the glass with these methods:

1. with my own mundane tools (such as using an awl plus a hammer to try and chisel through the layer carefully, or a crowbar in a similar manner as a pickaxe).
2. if the first method doesn't work, try it by pointing the civilian gauss sniper rifle to the ground vertically to fire off a penetrating shot, though it'd have to be Dubley who does the firing in this event due to his greater familiarity with firearm safety.

Also, check if Steve has the location of this place recorded for potential later utility.

Run away! But stay within site of teammates and eater "Other than sanding it, which most of us can't do, how are we able to restrain it?"

"Fine. No laser."

Pick up the broken piece of my pickaxe. Gonna have to get this repaired.
Is the pickaxe double sided? if so I could probably mine with the other side.
Otherwise follow Chief's plan.

Is....is it a giant space fireball?
((Ladies, gentlemen, members of ARM, we may be witnessing the true meaning of Inferno Mode.))

"Can't sand the guy if I'm roasted, can I?"

Try sanding Samboefreet again.

Fuck if I know, but if we're in the path of (what is probably) a fireball that's so fucking big we can see it from space, we have to do something! Inaction is death! Will the Eater follow commands?

Can Steve give us a reading on the giant sky-ball, determine what it is...or determine a projected impact point? Maybe this is how we kill it, when the "Sun" is directly overhead it'll crash down! Try to get the Eater to follow me without using violence!

That's it, that's gotta be it. The Eater becomes active at night when the fireball breaks over the horizon because it can somehow perceive it and knows it is a threat. Once day breaks it goes dormant again, maybe?

We'll kill the Eater via giant space fireball, I hope!

"I'm pretty sure that fireball won't descriminite on who it kills, if we kill the eater with the fireball, we could be killing ourselves with it!"

Might be, but we've got a job to do, and this lines up with all the prophecy-prediction bullshit pretty well. If you've got a better idea, I'm all ears: I'm just doing the best I can.

I'm imagining that this pit or hole or whatever the hell it is will have some way for us to protect ourselves. But I guess we'll have to wait and see!
