OK, so let me explain what the hell am I doing here.

I have decided to put a, rather cliched, spin on the Community Fortress Formula. Instead of normal write ups I write, feebly, voice act, poorly, and upload the chapters in an audiobook form to YouTube. Please do forgive my horrible voice, I am working on it.

Now, that is not to say that there will be no input from the community, feel free to ask for dwarves and propose things to do, just note that due to the limited amount of voice actors I have (namely me, and maybe one other guy) I may not be able to include everything in the episode, I will try to keep those concise and no longer than 20 mins.

Also, are we still doing journals? Actually, when possible, would there be any problems if I were to record said journals in an audiobook style as well? Since my laptop mic is really bad, though, and I'm hard to understand to begin with, I will be providing a written version.

So, for everyone who cannot be bothered to spare 4.5mins to listen to my voice here is a transcript. I will post transcript for each episode day or two after the video goes live.

BankCrystals. A relatively new outpost lying in-between dwarven empire of Likot Zomel and some nameless elven civiliation.  Seven brave, if somewhat insane, dwarfs marched towards it tirelessly through unicorn infested forest. One of the dwarves called himself Kitten Biscuit.
Kitten Buiscit’s memories were blurry. Why was he on this expedition? How did he get there? Few things he remembered troubled him. But they did not matter now. What did matter was the fact that he managed to exchange some “borrowed” goods for two iron swords. The blades gave him comfort, and he needed all assurances he could get. After all he got drafted into a reclaim party and from what he heard the place they were going to was not pretty.
Main problem was the Overseer they sent with the party. He seemed denser than pitchblende, and that unnerved Kitten Biscuit for a reason unknown to him. The Overseer called himself Sethfire, and was easy enough to supplant. It can be surprising how convincing a dwarf, however skinny he might be, is when he is holding two blades.
As they arrived at the fortress KB noted something amiss. The walls were not finished and the whole area was definitely not secure. What’s worse said walls were made entirely of wooden logs. That would explain the corpses lying around; if not the fact most of them were lined up behind one of the walls. Whatever happened here someone was trying to clean the place up.

“Ok, start unpacking, someone check for mine tunnels. I will take a look at the southern building.” Kb barked out the order.
As KB entered the building a thought occurred. The layout, at least of the first room was familiar. Despite being open to air, no roof was installed on this particular building, it showed signs of administrative centre, with table and chair behind fortifications. Design allowed the clerk to see the petitioner and still provide a bit of cover in case the petitioner went berserk. “It was supposed to be a trading outpost...” he mumbled to himself. He had no idea how he knew that.
In the meanwhile Sethfire and other dwarves inspected the cellars under the only finished building in the vicinity, sure that it will lead them to the mines. What they found was slightly different. A dining room, a common dormitory, several stockpiles and workshops along some farm fields. And between all that even more corpses.

After receiving the information KB ordered the corpses to be buried. The ghosts can be a real problem at times, especially when they died in a violent way.

There was one positive thing KB found about the whole place, functioning barracks above the farms. When he did not carry corpses around, or did not help to clean the whole place up he went up there, training. He was weak. Much weaker than he remembered, even the most basic movement and manoeuvring have left him exhausted. That needed to be corrected as long as possible. So he trained.

Eventually spring arrived, and with it a whole herd of unicorns. It did not matter to the dwarves who were still busy burying the dead and cursing the hot sun above their wooden home. But little they knew that this was just a humble beginning to what was going to be a very special outpost.

Edit: For those who want to record their own logs, please keep in mind that I may take liberties with them (i.e "Borrow" them) for the main video. I am not sure what shape that will take. But if you still want to make them I recommend using Audacity to record, it is free and easy to use with a lot of functionality, if you need it.

Edit2: And yes, I will monetize those videos, if you are not ok with me using your stuff tell me in advance.

By the Gods, what has happened to me? I've found myself as part of a caravan, travelling with a woman who somehow I know to be my wife, but I can't remember anything else. Maybe I hit the mead a bit too hard last night? No, no, there's something more at work. Anyways, we're going to somewhere called "Bankcrystals". Things weren't too bad, though I seemed to have lingering visions of what I think is a previous life.There was a lady in shimmering blue, fighting with a warrior clad in red in an abyss; a strange, quiet dwarf named Solymr; a horrid tyrant whose name I cannot remember; a silver warhammer, always by my side.

It was not until we got there that things got truly strange. As we approached the fortress, the Overseer came out to greet us. Standard practice, if not for one thing: He was the Tyrant. Kitten Biscuit, his name was, and with that name arose the memory of another name: Agent Sunshine, the painter. Had I my warhammer, I would have killed the Overseer, then and there. After the initial meeting, though, I seemed to calm down. In a former life, he may have been the Tyrant, but perhaps this time, he'll work for the good of the fortress, and protect the people. And maybe the goblins will send us daisies.

Once again, with a notable exception of a child, everyone who wanted in is in. I find it hilarious that when I do not want lil' dorflings running around there are 3x more of them than adult and when I need one none can be found.
