Alright, this'll be a bit spotty, but I want to get in and I can't write.

Basic concept is that he was a standout student or something, got noticed by generic military dude, and was recruited. Mechs are awesome, so he accepted. Good?

5 pages and we hardly started. Lets slay this dragon.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"It is not a problem! It is probably a good thing you came when you did, we have noticed enemy movement around here lately. The sandstorm effectively cloaked your coming. It is unlikely that they would outright attack you, but we can use their ignorance to our advantage.

I would have liked to show you around here myself, but as I said before we have detected enemy movement. They seem to be preparing for an attack, so I must make sure we know their location and strength at all times. I can have one my men lead you around the base, if you want. We will have to catch up over dinner. If you have any important questions, it would probably be nest to ask them now."

What do you do now?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The car pulls up in front of the bench you are sitting on, stopping directly in front of you. A group of uniformed soldiers left the car, opening the back door for the final figure. A woman with a face scarred as if by fire steps out, smoke pouring out behind her. Her age was hard to determine, with the face giving no hints. Her blackened lips held a large cigar with the alchemical symbol for fire, a triangle, making the end of it. She wore a beret like hat, covering up most her head, but had trailing white hair behind her.

"I was expecting someone a bit taller."

Her voice, gruff from years of smoking, speaks sarcastically, moving the lips just as a normal human would.

"Hope you don't have a problem with smoke, kid." She states, blowing a mouthful of smoke directly into your face. "Because your coming with Lil' Officer Joy to Hellsgates. Gun smoke, cigarette smoke, and smoke grenades are all you will be breathing until you die. Or quit, if you're as weak as you look."

What do you do now?

"Great. Try not to step on any civilians or cars, they come out of your pay. Here are our comm runes, the view is better from a mech if you ask me."

She hands you a sheet of paper with several symbols on it, the "Frequency" used to enter the local communications channel. She then closes the helmet, once again slowly growing the mech to its full towering height.

You enter the communications channel, Bysau's voice popping up. (The two main communication designs are radio-like voice communications and full-face communications. Alchemech can have either, it is mostly cosmetic difference. I will assume for now that you have radio comms, but if that is wrong just add her face somewhere.)

"Testing, testing, one two one two. Alright, communications have been established. Let the tour commence!"

The giant knight does an about face, like a soldier would. It then begins marching down the street at relatively slow place, making it child's play to keep up.

"Fort Jacobstown was founded a few years ago when the fort supposed to defend the area had been taken over by betrayal. The enemy forces proceeded to pillage nearby towns, like normal Jacobstown. Fortunately for the good guys, we had a group of near legendary alchemist visiting family here. They saw the enemy forces coming and terraformed a mote around the town, slowing the advance long enough for help to arrive. Once that had been completed, they decided the new defenses had made the town a perfect place to turn into a fort. So the alchemists laid some anti-acid runes and filled the moat over the course of months, making assault on the Fort all but impossible."

As she tells you the history of the fort, you pass groups of ordinary stone and brick houses, that seem to comply with the claims.

"We wanted to get back the ground we lost, and more if we could help it, so we ended up putting a few mech hangers at the edges of town. We now preform coordinated strikes on our own former positions. We still knew the land better than them, but it is hard to attack a fort as well positioned as the ones we already lost. The town has been a huge help to the military, each one believes they owe their lives for saving them and really want to get back at the enemy. Most had friends and family in the towns we lost. So we get free food and drink at the local bars if you mention you are a soldier, just try not to make us look bad. We have a pretty good deal here. Any questions so far?"

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"I'd like to take credit, but I ain't the one becoming intangible. The wall is. Speaking of..."

With blinding speed, he raises his hand to your head and pulls out a single hair. You hardly had time to react, it was simply so swift.

"Be right back." he states, leaning against the wall. It covers him like sand, and with in ten seconds he is gone. You are left alone in the cold snow for several moments before he reappears, again simply coming through the wall.

"All right, your in the system. Now you really are one of us. Come on, lets go."

He grabs you by the collar, half-dragging you up to the wall. As if there is nothing there, he simply walks into it, as it dissolves once again into sand, still holding onto your cloths. His hand keeps pulling, dragging you into the wall as well.  As if you walked through a portal, you find yourself in a pleasant garden. Looking up you see only fluffy clouds and the glaring sun, compared to the field of snow clouds below. On your feet was deep green grass, without a hint of weeds. Flowers in full bloom formed on bushes situated in random places. Trees of all kinds grew at random intervals, with even more flowers and vines growing off of them. Other exotic plants are placed at strange and esoteric locations. Forget garden, this place is like a forest.

And above all, this place is warm. It really was like you had stepped into a different world.

"Come on, everyone is waiting. I wasn't kidding about the ice tea and lemonade."

What do you do now?

SOOOO MUCH WRIIIITINNNNG

Ill do Dejavus' with the next batch, using the excuse that he doesn't have a back story yet and I have been writing forever and should probably get some sleep soon. I hope I did not miss or skip anyone.
--------------

Yep, totally missed someone. Sorry Objective, I am just not used to running games with this many people. Well here it goes:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Your car spins to a stop as the driver continues to sing along with the music communications at the top of his lungs. Badly.

"Now you are here! No need to fear! I made record time. Don't step on a mine!" He delivers this terrible rhyme in an attempt at a singing voice, turning down the radio as he does so. This is the fist time he had done this action the entire trip.

"Don't worry kid, I am sure you will do fine. They don't usually put there terraformers in danger unless things get really bad, in which case everyone is in equal fertilizer. Except the driver!" he joked, as you finally exit the car.

You find yourself in a camp, with cheap tents thrown up behind a dug-out trench. Armed men are running around, going about their business with reasonable haste. A few huge Alchamechs patrol on both sides of the trench, with bronze, steel, and iron shining in the noon sun.

"There you are! There you are!" A young woman with short brown hair rushed up to you as soon as you stepped out of the car. It only takes you an instant to notice her body is covered from head to toe with weapons, pistols, knives, sub machine guns, rifles, and grenades jabbed on at random intervals. "Hello!" She states, with a bow that sent the weapons clattering against each other. "I am Mister Kay's Alreona Jessy. We are really really glad you are here! We need your help with the defenses. And the housing. And pretty much everything else. We are eating on stones and digging holes for bathrooms, please save us! Kay's orders, I mean, but we would all be forever grateful anyway!"

What do you do now?

-----

*Sigh* poor ignored officers. At least I can use them for NPCs.

"...you appear to have a problem with how I look. It's rather amusing, I must say." Ciel folds his arms in front of him, the corners of his mouth twitching upwards slightly. Then he raises an eyebrow.
"Would you mind terribly if I asked why?"

The Red Baron was not represented here.

His story? not sure about a need for that. Maybe his Shining Finger Heat Palm killed his creator so he need to go on the run?

It was my impression that you were not finished the character design yet, which would influence where the military dumped you. Unless you did and I just missed it? If that really is his story, for example, it would make sense to put him in a more rural outpost, where it would be less likely he was found out.

Give me at least a little credit! I noticed before you posted and started writing yours. It is now with the others, where it belongs. You weren't even on when I checked, how did you find out I posted?

Oh, I thought I had to post first before you start to write mine.

Mica sighed "Oh, I was hoping that the facilities here might be better than the ones at the training camp." he shuddered at the thought of using the toilets there. "I'm not that snobbish, of course, so I supposed our main priority is the defense. I haven't had the opportunity to survey the landscape around us, do you happen to have a map?"

Ask her for a tactical map of the camp

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You hear the safety of a Makarov flick off just behind your head.

"Insult My Lady again and it will be the last thing you ever do, kid." A youthful male voice spoke up, from just above the gun.

Joy made a "weapons down" motion with her hands, her expression unchanging.

"Believe it or not, I choose to look this way. I almost took an Alchemech's rocket to my face. It missed me by a few feet, but the heat from the back blast was enough for severe burns. We took out the culprit and got me to the field doctor. He said he could fix everything, but I liked the look. It suits me better then the old one. Everything works just as well as a normal humans. It is just a tattoo earned on the battle field.

You? Your appearance just gets in the way. You don't look like you could carry much, let alone your own wait. I doubt you could even holder your Caster long enough to get a shot off. The best you could hope for is the enemy pitying you long enough for you to run."

What do you do now?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"A map? A map!" She begins looking over for her guns, turning around and examining her equipment sending many of the weapons again shaking. "AH!" she finally remembers where it is, snapping, a motion that causes the guns to dance. She then pulls the rifle off of her back, opening up the chamber. A tightly folded map is simply standing there, waiting to be removed. She pulls it out with obvious effort on her face and hands it to you.

It is quite a simple map, detailing the surrounding planes. It shows the approximate ground controlled by the enemy, far off in the distance, and the topography of the nearby land. True to your eyes, everything for many miles in any direction is almost entirely flat, with no obviously useful resources.

What do you do now?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"Very well. Private!" The officer states, hitting his fist on the door behind him. It opens, moving upward as the last had. A group of soldiers is moving around, it looks like the door leads to a crowded hallway. One man was sitting cross legged on the ground, waiting by the door. He salutes as it opens.

"Yes sir?"

"Lead the alchemist around. Show him the facilities, take him wherever he wants to go. Try to stay out of everyone's way as much as possible."

The sitting man nods before standing. The officer then turns toward you again. "Once again I am very sorry, don't forget our dinner plans. We must be off immediately." He then proceeds to do so, walking out the doorway with Henrietta following close behind. As the door falls shut, Henrietta looks back at the last moment, her eyes full of suspicion.

The soldier salutes you as he speaks. "As you know, I have been ordered to show you the facilities. I have scheduled a stop at your room, your laboratory, and the daily living facilities such as latrines and kitchen. Further facilities may be explored upon your request, if we have the time."

What do you do now?

---------------
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Alright, alright. You can start.
-----------------------

Your four legs dig into the loose dirt below you as you follow the ocean shore to your right and the dirt path ahead of you. The sun was directly above you, hardly helping your directions, but you haven't gotten lost thanks to a road without forks and the unmistakable landmark that is the ocean.

But still, you see no sign of the supposedly massive fort that is supposed to be near this location. Certainly, you should at least be able to see the naval forces at sea. So far there has been absolutely no sign of its existence, you would think that you had gotten lost if it had been at all possible.

Finally, their is a turn in the dirt path, going directly down to the beach. The first fork this road has had. Looking down to see what it leads to, all you see is a pretty large beach. Why would they build a road there? It isn't like this is a great tourist destination. Then you notice something, when you squint. Somebody wrote something in the sand, "HI EREN. THIS WAY", in massive letters several meters long, next to an arrow pointing to the ocean.

What do you do now?

-----------------------------
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Fine, here you are other new guy. I almost missed posting this, glad I got to it.

---------------

You look out the car's window at the endless bamboo forest, waiting for the car to finally find reach the fortress you will soon be staying at. At least you couldn't get any further from home, but the travel time was much longer than you had anticipated. Finally, after another turn through the maze of bamboo, the scenery changes a little. A hill appeared out of nowhere, the apparent end of your trip.

The driver unceremoniously dumped you out and left, allowing you to stretch after all the long hours in the car. On the hill ahead of you, surrounded by tall stocks of bamboo, was was once a clay church or monastery of some kind. It was obviously a fortress now, with the clay hardened and protected by alchemical signs who's glow could even be seen from this side of the wall, and even without that are the machine gun nests and anti mech cannons placed on the walls or higher up on the hill above it. A few soldiers patrolled, but didn't seem to take an interest in you.

In fact, nobody seems to be rolling out the welcome wagon here. You end up standing alone, for several minutes, with nobody so much as looking your way. How rude.

What do you do now?

------------------

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"Oi Oi, I get it. I was just explaining why things are the way they are. Soldiers are quartered in civilian housing, eat from civilian food supply, and generally use civilian facilities when they are available. As such, the quality of our facilities are a bit higher than most forts, but incredibly variable. The hangers are nothing impressive, but they get the job done. And if you want to get any details on anything, you will have to talk with the leadership. They are staying in the Mayor's mansion in the exact center of town, a bit more comfortable and defended lodging than most. I could take you there right now if you want, I have no real place to bring you otherwise."

What do you do now?

------------------

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Ah. I thought you wanted to, I don't know, pollinate the pretty flowers or something. Flap your wings around maybe. This I can work with.
------------------------

You turn away from the plants, to your right. There is a picnic table set up, long and white and covered in food. One table has large jugs of both ice-tea and lemonade, with impressive looking glasses next to them. Sitting at the table was an interesting bunch of people, a young woman in a white dress with a sun hat, an aged man in a tuxedo who is mostly bald, and a man trying to sneak food. Each sat on a heavy winter coat, having one close at hand.

As you walk up, they greet you politely all at once. The first to speak was the woman in the summer dress.

"Hello! Let me be the first...I mean, let me be the second to welcome you to Fort Magnus. I am Officer Lady Blanke. Errrmmm...The 'Officer' and 'Lady' are both titles, not part of my name! I think it would be best if we socialized while eating. The rest of the men guarding the fort ate much earlier when we set up the longer table. I chose not to eat so I could make sure you ate properly, and some of my friends decided they wouldn't eat without me. Some of my other soldiers wanted to join to, but I insisted they ate then, they have important duties to uphold. Not to say we don't! There isn't a lot we can do at the moment...ah! Sorry! I am totally rambling on and on. Everyone is hungry. We will talk while eating. So eat!"
