So I wanted to walk around in my fortress in adventure mode so I copied the save, retired the fortress, and embarked there in adventure mode.
I found the entrance to my fortress, its protected by a drawbridge. I made sure it was lowered when I retired the fortress, and thus it is lowered here. But when I attempt to cross the bridge, I cannot move past it! Why is this so? What do I have to do to gain entrance into my fort?




The bridge and entrance to the fort is directly to the north of me, but I cannot move onto the bridge, I dont normally play adventure mode, I have no idea what I may be doing wrong
I enlist the adventure vets in this most perplexing of circumstances

Have you tried forced moving with Alt+Direction?

That worked thank you, why would I have to do this to move across a bridge though? Seems kinda weird
