((GAH SORRY AM NOW DOING STUFF))

Veneficus curses under his breath. He had missed his chance to do what he intended. He'd have to wait until he could speak with the priest.

Wait until the High Priest shows his face.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Melt into the shadows. Hide, get out of town for a bit, wait until they stop suspecting stuff. Maybe signal Mic to come meet me. I'm sure he can make an excuse.
You make your way to the edge of the woods on the south side of the village. (hide roll 13+5) It doesn't look like anyone has spotted you. The trees are not dense, but there's enough foliage here to keep yourself concealed.

This place is pathetic. Its only importance is geographic.
Razed heads back to the area outside of the tavern.
The elf and possibly one or two of the others might be useful. Nothing else here really is.
Remember locations in the nearby countryside. If memory fails, accost random peasant with questions to find out.
You return to the tavern and start asking around for details. (gather information roll 20+2)

Most of the immediate area is farms and fields. To the south is a long stretch of woodland. Beyond the valley to the east are rugged foothills leading up to the dwarven lands.
About two and a half days westward is the market town of Lundenwic. It's smack in the middle of Hibernia, on the coast of the Ogledd, making it a very wealthy hub for trade. It and much of the surrounding land (including Fearleah) is ruled by Lord Fedlimid.

"Hm... Is not my job." Lanius says with a small frown "But may be reward. Is bored anyways."
Throw Light Hammer at nearest thief in an attempt to knock him out.
Unless, of course, they are my allies. In which case, don't do that.
With some thought, Lanius decides that Wyrne is his ally, and not to attack him. Unfortunately, after that moment of indecision, Wyrne has completely vanished! (spot roll 11-7)

"Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'll be here all day!"
See if the tavern is open. If so, see if I can setup in the corner and preform.
The tavern is still closed, seeing as the tavern keeper has not yet returned.
Shortly after you check, though, the ambassador and his guards start filing out. They have their gear with them, so they probably have what they came for, and are leaving.
The ambassador looks quite disgruntled. He's looking around at everyone, particularly the adventures, with obvious suspicion. His eyes linger on Mic for a long moment.

After the dwarves comes the High Priest. He also glances around, but looks more nervous than suspicious.

Veneficus curses under his breath. He had missed his chance to do what he intended. He'd have to wait until he could speak with the priest.
Wait until the High Priest shows his face.
With the priest's face quite clearly showing, you stop waiting and head over to him.

...

((....I'm actually at a loss for what Malkor should be doing. I can't seem to find any of these plot threads you were speaking of))
I realise my updates have been a little light on the information. I'll try to be more helpful.

Razed gets bumped into or bumps into Lanius and Malkor.

@@There you are, orc. I don't suppose you'd be willing to take on a job of some kind? You seem like your talants could prove useful for what I have in mind.@@

Razed notices Malkor. His eyes flash through a multitude of colours before returning to their original hue.

@@You're the priest of Pelor? I need to speak to you privately on a matter of some urgency. The High Priest won't listen and action needs to be taken.@@

@@I rather feel I've had an epiphany. Ever since I heard my first God whispering in my head, I've been trying to make people believe in something they don't want to. Even the highest amongst men do not want to believe. And then I realized what EVERYONE, from the lowliest peasant to the highest king believes in, or wants to. Heroes. They believe in heroes. And they've waited long enough for them. Its time to give them what they want.@@

@@There would be traveling and seeing of things in the package as well. And also potential payment. We'd be going to Ludenwic, a nearby market town, once I have a word with the priest of Pelor here and pull that old elf out of trouble. He's talking to the High Priest and that might make him a target. It might have made ME a target too, but I'M not over 800 years old or however many years it takes for an ELF to look like that.@@

"M'kay. I've got a place in the woods we can crash at and move the scepter on. I need to handle some business first, but I can show you the way after."

Find a handful of ablebodied villagers, and ask them "Do you want to lead the life of excitement and riches you deserve, friend?"
If they seem okay with comitting crime, (Sense Motive check) give them directions to Voltarus's camp.

"When we leave?"

@@Probably in an hour or two. I just need to talk to the lesser priest of Pelor and the old elf and then we'll be going.@@
]'What's this hero talk? There's not been heroes around for about a hundred years! Well, no proper ones, at least. We've had hero-wannabes who've gotten eaten by a pile of goop or a cyclops or...'

@@Exactly. The land is littered with faded shadows of the glories of those who came before. WE remember days when it was not so. And all things must come again. So why not now?@@
