That said they do tend to get married pretty early, I can count on one hand the number of Mormon girls that I've known who didn't end up married within 1-2 years of high school graduation. And this being in an area with a fairly high Mormon population (not a huge one, but you definitely know that it exists).

Needing to be married to enter the very best part of it sounds really BS.
I'm fairly sure it's because you can only have kids if you are married. Yeah. I'm too tired to explain it fully right now though...

To be fair, Mormons don't really believe in the Bible. They have the Book of Mormon or whatever it's called.
The Book of Mormon is more of "The Bible, part three" then a separate book. Mormons still believe in the bible. It is just that we have another book to go with it.
I thought that the Mormons used the Standard Works.

Isn't that the Seventh-day Adventists?

...

I don't know. There's about thirty thousand branches of "Christianity", I can't keep track of them all.

What are seventh day adventists? I mean, I've at least heard of Mormons and can picture them, but all I have for them is a vague feeling that they exist.

I don't really know anything about them either. There was a guy at my old highschool who said he was one, and he never came in on Wednesdays because of some religious reason. Apart from that, though, I have no idea.

Hmmm, no school on Wednesdays? Hmmm

I have suddenly become religious!

Okay, maybe not. But it's a tempting deal :P

I should know more about adventists and mormons, seeing as I have both in my family/close circle of relationships, but alas, eh...
All I know is that they don't like working until late on fridays. I studied on an Adventist school and all their activities ended earlier on fridays, simmilarly, my mother went to an Adventist college on the night turn and she didn't have any classes on fridays.

Seventh Day Adventists are vegetarians by religion. In an area with a high population of Seventh Day Adventists, you are likely to see one or more vegetarian grocery stores. They do not mind non-SDA folk shopping there, and their door to door Religious Salesmen are generally very polite and good-natured, in my experience.

They also do not believe in souls or consciousness after death, and believe people will be "soul sleeping"/unconscious until the Second Coming ("Wholistic Nature"). Actually, this is what most Christian groups believe, but it's often glossed over.

There is strong evidence against this in Luke 19:16-31.

There wouldn't be 30,000+ different denominations of Christianity if they all agreed on their interpretation of the Holy Book.

Bonus points for it happening three days after the last post.
