After a little chat, the group finally approaches Erwich.
The path goes up a slope and, according to the map, the village is just on the other side of the hill.

Everybody can see that the forest is more sparse here, with trees cut, but those who are attentive to the sounds quickly note that there are no birds around there : you can hear  laughter and shouts.
Peren can even distinguish that most of it isn't in Common (the language).

Libia keeps on walking up the hill and towards the village, still rather engrossed in her book. The sound of laughter and shouts doesn't seem to concern her. Though why should it?

"Ah finally, some people who know how to laugh!" Red takes point, running up the hill

As you get higher on the hill, you realise that the laughter sounds weird. In fact, it doesn't sound human or Elvish...

((more waiting to see if the other players awnt to do something before reaching the top of the hill than anything, now))

Hmm... Draconic? Dwarven might be something I could recognize, even if I can't translate it.

Harold begins climbing the hill, but hangs back for sneakier people to check what's going on before he goes to the very top.
He also listens to see if it is a language he understands (Deep Speech or Elvish).

"Right. I'll signal if I run into trouble. Watch the skies."
Follow any brush or natural cover down the village, being stealthy.
Stealth: +5

((if one of you knew the language, I would have said it. Sadly, it's not something anybody knows :p ))

As you are all climbing the hill at your rhythm, the fastest finally see what's happening :
A few hundreds feets further, what is left of Erwich is currently attacked by a dozen of goblins !
Of the 5 houses that formed the village, only one seems not to be burnt down, and two peasants try to keep the goblins away with pitchforks.
Most of the goblins simply have a club and a sling, firing stones at the general direction of the peasants while laughting with this recognizable sound you heard, but a couple of creatures stand out :
One of them is taller, wears armor and wields a bow, and seems to be shouting orders.
Two others a really bulkier, nearly as big as the paladin of your group of adventurers. They don't seem to wear any armor but the giant clubs they wield seem enough to damage the houses' walls.
Nobody there seems to have noticed you yet.

One of the fields of this farming settlement is on fire, and most of the others don't seem cultivated.
Peren notices that the fire sometimes burn with a greenish flame.

((The village is at 1 000 feet from the top of the hill, with the goblins on its left. Most of the little goblins are grouped around the peasants, entrenched between two houses, while a couple of those and their leader are near the field on fire, and the big ones each on a house. There are only a dozen trees between the top of the hill and what is left of the village, as there were fields on each side of the path.))

"I... suppose this is... what we were supposed to... prevent..."
Harold begins hurrying down the hill to lend aid. He will stop about 100 feet away from the goblins, or beside the nearest building. Whichever is further from the goblins.

Dash down the hill, aiming for a building or some sort of cover.

Charge down the hill. Tear into the biggest, meanest looking one with my longsword.

((a bit waiting for the other 2))

Tiger shaped Sylla and Peren ahead and the other behind, the group rushes down the hill.

((nearest targets are the sling-wielding group of 6 goblins and 1 of the big ones. A bit further are the 3 club-wielding goblins, attacking the peasants; and still further are the tall bow-wielding goblin and his two body guards and finally the other big one. I wouldn't mind having the targets of Sylla and Peren as well as those of anyone attacking at range (Harold and Lydia if she attacks with a crossbow).))

I change my action to getting the attention of the ones attacking the peasants, then. Preferably in a way that involves dealing some damage to them.
