10 characters of random uppercase lowercase, and numbers and symbols.

I suppose this works if somebody is manually guessing your passwords. But people use computers to do it and ">5*Av/&+!$" is the same to computers as "1234567890", plus it's hard to memorize. Better use passwords like "Rotten pyjamas taste like bacon". Strange enough to easily remember, takes MUCH longer to crack and is unlikely to be guessed by a human.

Trust me, I have all of your passwords.

That is a terrible idea. Sure, maybe you don't want to have one password for each thing, but putting them all under one password is asking to get your information stolen. At least make a group of passwords, and alternate between them as you redefine them.

Of course, tagging a sentence in the middle of a hard password might make it a lot stronger.

Yeah, you could get a really strong password by just using the "battery staple correct horse" method, and then sticking a special character onto the beginning or end of each word. 's how I do mine.

that's still susceptible to a dictionary cracker, though.
