Thats makes them almost exactly a point apart now instead of nearly evenly split, from the looks of the bbc page.

Also huh, Midlothian. I wasn't expecting to see a familiar name in the list of scottish areas.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

And just as in North America, fuck those hicks.

Can you call them hicks when they are the ones voting for the cosmopolitian outcome over the regionalist outcome?

My worry is that if Yes wins because of the big cities, then the areas that voted No will feel like they were dragged along by city slickers. :v

Maybe I'm projecting from a North American perspective, though.
This is true in basically literally every country in the world. City slickers feel like rural rednecks are backwards and stupid, rural rednecks are tired of arrogant city slickers overriding them.

Not in Portland!

Also my hometown.  My county views ourselves as the last bit of civilization before you reach the hicks in the bigger towns.

West Dunbartonshire
Yes-33720
No-28776
Yes-54%

That one is a bit more surprising.  It seems like the regions really aren't following expectations.

this is actually really tense. i mean, the margin between no and yes is a few thousand votes, and there are millions of voters in scotland. these are the things that go in history books, people. we could be inventing the next hitler, or stopping the next hitler from ever existing.

((damnit, godwins law.))

Why did your mind go to Hitler?  That's just weird.
Probably my fault. Avatar and all.

Ouch. Stirling and East Lothian just put a serious hurt on the chances.

Of course you can, when they're voting for something you don't like.  That sort of thing doesn't matter when it comes to tyranny of the majority.
...
And I think it'll be better for me to sit back and quietly watch the polls from here on.  Otherwise I may say something I would regret.

Where are you getting your numbers? This says it's still pretty close, and Stirling is in.

Glasgow is pretty fuckin' huge though, aye?

So I think it could over-ride pretty much everything here so far once it's in.

Edinburgh as well.
