We lack of the ability to make mortar and pestle in the craftwasp to build Herbalist Lab.
Also that workshop requires a science discovery, which I think wasps cannot do (and the manual doesn't mention this).
Also, since we have Furniture Workshop to make rooms sets, we could use also a new clothier to make cloth sets.
Also... they just came two Priests of the Depths in the last migration wave (alongside with a queen!). It's a good thing? What's their purpose?

I'll fix it, and will also add custom buildings which don't require scientific discoveries

Sure, adding cloth sets should be easy

They can perform summons and make packs more quickly, so if you do a lot of summons they will save you time.

I've always hated menacing spikes and now i've got a reason to!

as for the menacing spikes, i don't know. have you overwritten something? it seems like your folder is missing some files


This menacing spikes isn't you guys -- this is an issue with the Fortress Defense races in MDF, they all have entity enabled this vanilla trap component ITEM_TRAPCOMP_MENACINGSPIKE that has been removed from MDF, so it throws the error.

Yep, pick one. Sharpened spikes (the normal menacing spikes), that do deep cuts, or serrated spikes, which do larger cuts with more bleeding, but more shallow.

A second queen? Shouldn't that lead to a sort of civil war?

yes, if they view each other they will start fighting. not a full scale civil war anymore, but there will be collateral. with that being said, a crafty player may be able to keep 2 or more queens, but it requires careful planning.

If it makes you feel any better it wouldn't be to hard to implement. The only problem is "What's the point?"

new update

the herbalist should now be buildable. i also added the own metallurgist (the same, but it most definitely won't require a discovery to construct) building to be on the safe side. i removed the reactions to unmake alloys. finally, i added cloth sets in the craftswasp.

the last thing on the list for now is the getting started page. i'll write a tutorial instead of a few tips, and any suggestions about it would be welcome.

Sounds like something to implement in the eventual disease rewrite, though the waspen stings would need a time delay since in wasp mode they won't live long enough for it to matter. But in other race modes it'd be a very real threat for at least civilians.

Grower also lack of Wasp Striker reaction: talons are here, strickers not.
Also, leatherwork cannot build torso armor, just the clothing one and for every other equip slot it works well.
It just lacks the Leather scale mail.
