Because you are not using it right. Tools wont work, you need boulders, and you dont change the item subtype (boulder dont have one anyway), but you change the inorganics. You need a new inorganic for each outcome.

the thing is, every time i run the spawn unit command with the probability syndrome, the animal summoned is not domesticated for some reason. i noticed this happens when i put [SYN_CLASS:probability-syndrome][SYN_CLASS:cmd] in the vapor stone, but those two commands allow the boulder to be targeted by the probability syndrome, so they're essential, am i right?

Have a look at [REACTION:WARLOCK_CHEAT2] in reaction_warlock.txt. Its at the very top. Its the best example of how it works.

well, that clears things up. thanks. one last question, though: if a creature has two THOUGHT parts and one gets damaged, does the creature die instantly or it can live if it has another one?

yeah, when i put the tissues properly and stop getting errorlogs...

EDIT: ok, i did the tests: it totally will survive getting stabbled in the brain with an adamantine spear by a spearlord, so yeah it will

Good. Then you just have to make sure it dies after a while. Otherwise the head gets cut off, and the wasp will life forever. But you want it to do some epic combat stuff and then die. ;)

my creatures are not only wild, but also only appear on the unit screen and nowhere else. that is, when the reaction doesn't simply cause the game to crash

most of them have a PET tag, some of them have PET_EXOTIC instead. most are trainable, but not all. i saved exited and reloaded and nothing changed. it wasn't the spawnunit that caused the crash, it was the probability script. and what's more, one creature actually works: this one

and to add insult to injury, i saved and every time i load my game it crashes and the errorlog is empty

Its because the second last synclass has a space. SYN_CLASS:Royal Scorpion. Dont use names with spaces.

and as it happens, all the other ones that don't work have spaces too... yeah, that explains it. i'll change it and run it one more time. let's hope for the best. thanks for your help.i have one question,however: if the spaces are causing the problem, why does that one work?
