good. to be honest, i don't even feel it is necessary. it's always nice to add a new feature, but wasps already have their thing, they don't need warpstone using to become their main feature. still, the warpstone ammo would be super quick to mod. and did you read damanthedog's suggestions about mutating the larvae? i believe that if we add this it will see a lot of play (there will be a time when you simply don't need more larvae) without being overly complex to mod or to manage as a player.

I dunno, wasps don't strike me as particularly religious save for possibly worshipping the queens and whatever force made them what they are (as such they should probably have the same religion-type in worldgen as elves, rather than pantheons.) Besides, that shrine seems like all they'd need and as close to a religious structure as they'd get or really want to mess with; after all, cavorting with whatever dark beings grant power to warlocks and succubi is asking for trouble and more... benevolent deities tend to not be very active in helping their followers. Or curse them with vampirism/lycanthropy.

The only additional thing I could think of is giving some purpose to clockwork equipment and parts from gnomes and automatons - modifying thier armors more clumsily than even the orcs to work for soldiers as decent armor and  functional but otherwise protection-lacking power armor for workers, using the clockwork guts from automatons to repair what they inevitably break modifying them. Sounded a lot less stupid in my head.

Also I am in favor of an option to turn excess larvae into suicide bombers.

You can fake being able to run on water. You can't fake looking cool when you break your foot on a door and hit your head on the floor.

it doesn't sound stupid. it just doesn't fit wasps very well, in my opinion at least.

te way i pictured it, it goes even better: ravening, very agile biters with very few defenses but a nasty temper and sharp teeth. or toxic gas breathing oversized maggots. or even multi headed dog sized... things with vestigial legs. slow, but skilled dodgers and deadly attackers.

That's not much different from what I had in mind by allowing them to mutate according to host to get a bunch of variably nasty monsters, just tiny. And with an added mobile/living nerve gas bomb.

Either way it combines two great loves: Getting rid of unwanted kids, and doing so in a productive manner!

well technically my larvae at the current moment are single shot glass cannons (they are very weak, most punches can oneshot them) although they aren't agile, they are actually pretty slow, but they seem to be way to good at dodging. How do I make an animal worse at dodging?

EDIT:My only complaint with kamikaze larvae is that they will make hivethralls pointless. I even already drew a sprite! (yes they have no arms)

yeah, good point about the hive thralls. Maybe not kamikaze, just dog sized war animals. Wasps don't have many small war animals.

i don't know yet if this will be according to the host. i would like it to be that way, but the sheer number of creatures in dwarf fortress (let alone masterwork) and the lack of the necessary creature classes to sort them out will make it very, very difficult to mod that way.

Hello guys, I drew 2 sprites for ghosts but I can't decide which one I want to use

so I'm having another vote to decide which one is better. Of course this is a small matter so we're not going to make it a poll. It will be a vote by forum post. The following accounts are eligible to vote:

danmanthedog, than402, Insanegame27, Meph, Sagus, Splint,  and smakemapagus
(I will cross out names as they vote)

Of course if that voting method above doesn't suit you, we can just make it a poll that is open for 2 days instead.

EDIT: after rereading the whole thread I have added Sagus to the list of eligible voters.

EDIT: POLL CLOSED! The sprite on the left is the winner!

The second is easier to miss at a glance, so I'd say first too.

Not eligible to vote, but whatever^^
