Demodex are kind of cute though, don't you think? With those stubby lil' legs. They don't cause you any harm, they're just happy little facebros keeping you company when you're feeling alone. They live on you, so you're literally the world to them! Doesn't that make you feel important?

From a young age I've found parasites fascinating, and these ones are the least horrifying parasites around. I agree with the scientist, "when you get to know them, they're actually pretty adorable." Also that idea that these guys have hitched rides on our faces close to the dawn of our evolution is neat. They're our parasites, no doubt about it - aint no lizards gonna be taking these mites from me, they're mytes
