HOW much money do we actually have? is it something to do with our GDP?  A general estimate of our spendable budget pm to use would be nice.

Nations don't "have" money. They have budgets, which include the amount of money they take in and the amount of money they spend. Sometimes they spend more than they take in, which is a budget deficit. As a United Assembly delegate you are free to promise pretty much whatever you want, because your nation has to comply with United Assembly decisions. The GDP is just a figure of the worth of all goods and services created by your country's economy so you can get a sense of how prosperous they are. However much money you promise, your nation will make room for it in its budget.

I think it's just something fun and arbitrary to start arguing over. It doesn't really matter how much we actually have to spend. Our GDPs suggest we have more than enough to cover any of the current proposals.

Fairly random question, but what kind of technology level are we looking at for these guys?

All countries within the United Assembly are "first-world" countries operating at a technology level functionally equivalent to ours.

There's that "is" again. Worse than "parallel" if you ask me. I'm fairly sure Switzerland has a stricter border policy than chanting "please go away." Why are you telling the New Gavalon representative what his country is?

...okay i am sorry let me rephrase: New Gavalon sure looks a lot like Switzerland. The Neutral Mentality, the similiar terrain, the (i don't want to call it racism) dislike of immigrants...in my book thats Switzerland. Make better North Korea out of it if you want, i honestly don't care, i just stated my opinion as to after what real world nation these countries might be fashioned after.

Pretty sure it doesn't really matter. Though I did choose the title of Chairman for a reason...

Anyway, real-world parallels are fine. I don't think it will impact the game in any way. It's just an... out of character discussion. I won't get into it, but I don't mind seeing it happen.

E: If you want to quash it, I won't argue, but it seems a little unnecessary.

I'm not quashing it, I just disagree.

Things can change. Tirinia surely brings Japan to mind (Densely populated island nation that lost the world war and got really nice gadgets?), but I prefer to play it as culturally British, because I'm binge-watching Yes, Minister at the moment.

Oh, I didn't realize at first how far reaching my role was.  In that case, I'm probably going to be somewhat mean.

I mean, I never called for a vote in character.
