Main thread is here. This thread is to ask questions about the game out-of-character.

Make sure you carefully read the charter, because it is essentially the only rules governing you at this point. I'm not a GM in the traditional sense, I am not a final arbiter on "the rules." All I can do is try and offer a sense of the original intention of the text, how you interpret it is up to you and the power to govern yourselves is in your hands. My only involvement in the game is to post daily news headlines to give you a sense of the efficacy of your actions, the state of the world, and its opinion of you.

The Security Council has the power to discipline delegates. The Policy Committee has the power to change the charter and thereby the rules. I am at best a neutral party to offer advice.

I've added nominal GDP to the information in the encyclopedia entries of each country, so you can get a sense of how prosperous the nation you are representing is.

Technically only the Assembly Leader has the authority to call an amendment to a vote, and it is strictly yay or nay (or abstain), but it is up to the Assembly Leader to assert this power.

Not as such; I can make a nation for you to be the delegate of, and then the UA Security Council has to pass an Admission of a Nation proposal and have it approved by a forum of the General Assembly and the Board of First Nations, and signed by the Assembly Leader. Then you will be given a seat on the General Assembly and will be considered to have joined the game.

Well, I'd love that. Or you could keep me in reserve in case a nation is split or a delegate die, as you prefer. But of course, if I could get a nation (possibly one with intractable institutional problem but that somehow keep going on despite the lack of government?) I'd love it.

There is no parallel country. You're not a parallel of anything. You're Ethivul. If you want to be Ethivul being Greece then that is fine, you are the representative of your nation so you have a say in what Ethivul is like (for instance, we have delegates making flags for their nations). But to think that this is just a parallel of real life is folly. For instance, in real life we have not had 18 World Wars. Don't assume that because something is true in real life it is true here.

Don't worry about parallels. Make Ethivul whatever you want it to be. If you want to be parallel universe Greece, you can. I'm just suggesting you take the facts as they're presented.
