There are the vehicles that are with your group, a couple supplies vehicles, and one vehicle from the hospital.

You begin moving into the forest at the crest of the hill
As you aproach the top you begin to hear rustling all around

You all stand in a back to back circle with melee weapons out
You get a message from one of the scouts,"Looks like our re supply caravan go here early. We cleared a couple buildings out for them. Sanctuary special forces got sent down here along with a medical crew, a couple civilians for non military jobs, and a small police force to keep the peace."

Wait until we arrive.

All the APCs arrive near a town hall type building
The large mass of people is greeted by about 100 younger scouts who help direct people to their specified buildings.
Your special forces team is stationed in a large diner with a decent sized storage room and plenty of rooming

Split up in squads and load up on claymores. Plant them all around the perimeter to provide early warning when they arrive then have the demo men plant c4 in any unused buildings on structural supports with remote triggers so they can be collapsed across entrances to the area later.

Call for whoever is in charge to come meet me and see if I can figure out which direction the horde is coming from based on what I saw in my dream.

You can hear a lot of movement but only see a few zed who are keeping their distance

You go to plant the claymores and a couple scouts greet you,"The group that is in charge of the scout force here is currently in the forest in the near hills, they have asked for whatever help you can provide. Also please do not plant explosives on the buildings as we need as many as we can get. The claymores are much apreciated on the northern half of the buildings but don't plant any inside town parameters, accidents happen and that's one we can't afford to have"

" Dont worry I'm only planting around the outside. If they spread out I'd like to know before they start chewing on my backside.

As for the c4. It's a final resort, if we're getting overrun I'll collapse the buildings to slow them down enough for us to regroup and pull out.
Keeping it intact is all well and good but it won't matter if we're dead. If we knock it down we can rebuild it again later.

We're is he? I'll take my guard out and see what we can do while team 1 sets up my party favours. Trust me, we need them I've seen the horde that's coming. "

Team 1 deploy the claymores and c4 as instructed. It's officer is to map out the best spots on the second floor and roof to deploy his squads for maximum coverage of all directions and to identify a building nearby that's defensible as a fall back point.

Mount up my guard in 5 APC then head to within half a mile of the scouts.

"Hey Max, see if you can climb that tree. Tell me what you can see from up there."

The rest of Castle prepares for combat.

"Castle to HQ. Tell the scientists about what we found in the Pit. Might be useful."

He gets begins to climb up on the tall tree
He gets a couple branches up and screams
He falls down and a branch breaks his fall

@patric hunt- the APCs are not for your use sorry
The scouts inform you that they have a few uses for the c4 if you were willing to part with a few pounds of it. They also inform you that their leader group is at the top of the nearest hill.
You are in a 1 floor diner and a storage unit next to it. Both are one floor but have pretty nice view into the south sectors and northern streets.
Your guard (guard team) is ready to deploy

The room with the clothes has nothing important in it
The bed room has a bath room with a tub filled with a pungent black fluid inside of it

Have Team 1 create a means of reaching the roof inside so they can fight from it, allow them to use c4 and identify the fall back point anyway.

Go to the scouts, keep rifles ready in case of an ambush.

Get closer to the clearing, but don't actually go to into it.
