((  Yeah won't work they'll just grab your feet as your going or step aside so you fall or duck or jump or just move in general so you lose balance. These aren't walking dead idiot zombies these ones will react to you and crowd running leaves you defenseless you'd never make it.

It's suicide. ))

((Ah, but you forget: people never look up. By the time they see a dude running on other zombies, they'll be run on by that same dude. These zombies might not be super dumb but they're just not as smart as humans. Watch, if there's ever a horde around, I'll prove that crowd-running is a viable option. Besides, zombies are super dumb if you kill the brutes, right?))

(( They operate via a hive mind. The brutes are human intelligent and whatever is in control commands every zombie is the same or even more so. It'll react and they will spot you instantly when they have tens of thousands of sets of eyes.
Just looking forward the ones behind the one your on will see you.

All they have to do is open a gap of a few meters around you as you run and your dead. ))

" You made it out here on your own, should have made yourself known earlier. Breaking off a squad when I'm heading into battle is not an option and team 1 is preparing a defensive position so I can't spare any of them to come and get you. "

He begins headding back
you notice that it is about noon

@andres
the course is prepared and people are running it
it is noon

The civilians are farmers and repair people
a couple are engineers but they work more on repair than actual construction

and freaking entire page of you and andres argueing made my day

Radio for team 1s snipers to cover him then peruse the enemy to get within range to fire a grenade with my guard.

(( It's not arguing.... Ok maybe a little. But he did say himself he didn't read a lot of my turns and most of our info on the zombies is in mine.
so figured I should point out flaws now rather then when he's standing on a zombies head.

Repair is fine the job I have in mind is simple. ))

Have about half the scouts search the city and the area around the city for zombies. The other half train inside the barricades. Castle practices their melee when outnumbered by sparring with some of the scouts. The scouts should obviously have a steep numerical edge.

(( Wouldn't it be more effective to spar against your own team? Sparring against somebody who has no idea what he's doing is hardly going to teach you anything and is bad for morale as well. ))

((The whole point is for Castle to get good at fighting overwhelming numbers - not individually good fighters. These are anti-zombie training methods, you see.))

(( I see, but that method is slow. People learn most by pushing themselves and bullying rookies isn't pushing yourself. ))

You get to the valley between the hill you were just on and the hill ahead
there is a small stream and plenty of vegetation around

Have about half the scouts search the city and the area around the city for zombies. The other half train inside the barricades. Castle practices their melee when outnumbered by sparring with some of the scouts. The scouts should obviously have a steep numerical edge.
There are about 30-80 zed in the north west but they run away from the scouts and get away from reach
they make sure to avoid contact
the scouts are confused and don't know what to do

Castle stands in a circle with about 40 scouts around them
castle is armed with plastic pipes and the scouts have padded hands

((for the record some of the scouts are almost as well trained as castle and the majority of them have melee experience))

(( Melee experience and being skilled are 2 different things. A kid in a schoolyard fight has melee experience. But meh I just don't see the point in training that makes no difference human beings are physically incapable of melee fighting against a horde like this.

They can just charge into you and tackle you even as you kill them. The moment they do your on the ground trapped and dead. You can't melee fight your way through 1000 zombies that are as strong and fast as humans and can use basic tactics like surrounding you.
If you fight them where they outnumber you in melee then you lose.

The greatest melee fighter in human history couldn't survive that fight. ))

Continue looking for zombies.

[sorry for not updating in awhile, IRL stuff and trying to figure out what I'm going to do with this storyline.]

{IN GANE STUFF}- you are both seperated for right now so remember what one dies the other doesn't know unless you radio it to the other guy

Begin training.

You begin training when you are aproaches by a scout with a satelite phone (this is used for only the most important of calls) he hands it to you saying it's Sanctuary chief medical director and the Sanctuary offensive units commander

@Patrick Hunt- you look around the hill and get to the next one. As you aproach it's peak you notice that it is very rocky and the ground consists of slabs of hard stone. You hear a scream from one of the team members in the back and then the sound of something hitting the ground very hard from a great heigh. You look back and see one stone slab tilted with a crack in the ground where the team member was walking.
