Dwarves activating pressure plates

Despite changing it to "Citizens Trigger" when I build a pressure plate, I can't seem to get things to happen when my dwarves walk on them. I've been trying with doors and floodgates.

You're not alone; the same thing happens to me. This is sort of a known bug, but apparently didn't reproduce at the time of Toady's testing. I think something is going to be done about it eventually, since it was recently reported here and a save was provided for Toady to look at.
