(Here's what I got.  I apologize if the quality isn't all that good.)

???

A lone being is within a room.  A hall stretches behind him, filled with a variety of monitors labelled with various names, displaying a variety of deeds in progress.  These are not the current object of his current attention.  Instead, it is a screen filled with long lines of code, logs of events, descriptions of imports, and other files.

"Seems as if the new level calculation code is complete," the figure comments.  "Let's run a live test.  See how well it will work."

After going through a few files, he sees which room the test will be made upon.  "Ah, it's one of the new groups.  Bay Twelve, I believe.  Wonder what the ending casualty rate will be..."

Vault

The group of Forumites enter past the strange fog that had been behind the vault door.  They enter into a quite open room that, if looked at from above, has the formation of a cross, each roughly seven meters in width and ten meters in length.  The walls of the area are lined with safety deposit boxes, with a slight track going around the top of the walls that exist for ladders to reach the upper boxes, which go to a ceiling four meters up.  In front of the walls is a meter wide island that runs the length of the walls, all having the occasional gap.  The floors and the tops of the islands all carry surfaces that seem to be the same as surfaces that portals can be used on, but the walls of safety deposit boxes, sides of the islands, and ceiling are that of grey metal.

From the ceiling of the empty central portion descends a cylindrical node.  Shortly after, hidden speakers play in a highly robotic voice, "None of your group are carrying a deposit key or an employee identification.  Identify yourselves."

(Yay!)
(Just don't get too blood-hungry, Zanz :P)

HugoLuman's heart drops as this voice rings out, and further when Arcvasti responds before he can reply. "Um... is there an emergency exit around here?"

((Alright I can continue now))

"Cool! So, um, do you need to stay here or...? Cuz' it'll probably be easier, faster, and more likely to get the power-thing if you come with me, since you'll be able to identify it and all? Plus you've got a gun and all I have is a sword...I just don't know if there's stuff here you have to keep an eye on or anything."
"Here, at her side, I must stay... I must confess, I have little faith you could find such a thing. I do not know what it may be, else I would not be so despondent... my dear Noraline, she wold be awake if I knew..."

(Yay!)
(Just don't get too blood-hungry, Zanz :P)

(I balanced this against the current party.  Notably, I was not able to find Kevak and Cryxis saying they entered the room, so they were left out.)

Arcvasti blinks.

**I am Croesus and these are my retainers.**

(17)(4)(7) "Human with last name of Croesus exists in archives.  Verifying voice print...failure.  Verifying facial structure...failure."

"We're travelers from the town of Go Fuck Yourself. Tell us what's in the boxes."

(Aaand there goes your chance to bluff!)

"Deliberately hostile remarks.  Quantities of blood detected in front desk area.  No lifesigns detected at front desk.  Marking intruders for death.  Terminating."

The node retracts to the ceiling as, at the same time, a futuristic-looking dual turret rises from below on a platform made of a 1 foot substance similar to the walls and ceiling.  You hear it charging.

(You have five seconds before it fires.  Talking is not a free action, but can occur by doing other actions.  Note that responding to someone else is cumulative to what they say + your response time + what you say.  No response/action causes a default to 'dodge'.)

***Dammit.***

Arcvasti pulls both[somewhat battered] portal devices out of his coat and shoots one beneath his feet and one on the ceiling directly above the turret.

(?)

HugoLuman dives beneath one of the desk islands. "Wait! We're taking refuge in here! Can you see that I'm covered in my own blood!?"

(Just to cover this having happened earlier)

You see no exit, emergency or otherwise, from your current location.

Prophet follows Hugo's example and dives under one of the desk islands.

"Oh, shit."
SB dives out of the way, also activating Autopilot and shooting at the turret. Preferably... right down the barrel!

((I thought I was just following everbody else?))

(I never saw you or Kevak make a post about entering, so neither of you are in there, yet.)

((Is it bad that i'm getting the feeling that we are all going to die a horrible turret related death?))

(If you all die to it, then you lost to an enemy that, by all rights, you should have beaten.  Yeah, one or two may be rendered unable to fight for a time or killed, but the whole group?  Second half is another story, but it is still weaker than what you as a group are.)

activating Autopilot

(???)
