So are we staying or going? I still haven't found a cake room yet. That makes me sad. Can we look for a cake room next? That would be fun!

Arcvasti, who was presumably in the back of the truck the whole time, speaks up.

**Or, we could just open the vault normally. All we should need to do is memorize the house numbers from the asterisk thing in front of the bank to some kind of "X" thing we haven't quite found yet. Shouldn't be hard, especially if we have paper. I'm also going to point out crashing the dumptruck into the vault might rip open a hole to the Void place SHE showed us, assuming the vault door even connects directly to the inside of the vault. It might be more convenient for the Administrator's if the doors between rooms were linked via portals instead of physical proximity to allow for easy reconfiguration and such.**

So are we staying or going? I still haven't found a cake room yet. That makes me sad. Can we look for a cake room next? That would be fun!

**I could actually go for some cake right now.**

See Arc likes cake! We should definitely look for cake.

"I'm not actually a big fan of cake. Can we look for a 'sweet things in general' room?"

"Well, since the line ended here, I think this intersection is the X. We had some numbers..." HugoLuman opens his bag, then remembers his socks and shoes are still inside. "Crap, just a sec." He slips them on, not bothering to tie, then pulls out the notebook. "Alright... there were the numbers '5' and '2' on wrecked cars, the line ended in front of a building with 310 on it. And the combo has 10 digits in it."

"Say, you got another one of those?"
"Yo GLaDOS, can you give us a hint?"

"Oh, yes. ME. Giving out hints to puzzles. Of course."

Arcvasti pokes it dubiously before stowing it in an overfull pocket.

Could probably split it with Arc, it's a big piece of cake.

"Nah, that's okay. I'd do better with some water anyways. Oh!" He looks at the people who teleported in shortly before and after the Bandit's Playhouse incident. "So, um, the reason we came to this city is we were searching for clues to a puzzle about opening a bank vault. We found a note saying "asterisk to X," and there was a line from a star leading up the street to here, occasionally pointing at the building addresses. And then here we found some more clues."

"Fuck. Don't even know what would happen if my sword hit it. Don't like this at all."

Throw some more bones at it. Harder, this time. See if I can get a whole bunch of toe bones and foot bones to throw all at once. Use one of the veils if I can to do so. Can't tell if it's a ghost or what, but if it is, I'll either anger it into moving faster or disturb it's ability to remain tethered by fucking with the corpses.

Try to figure out whether the footsteps are faster or slower than they were before I threw the bones.
((Just a reminder :P))

"Crap, did I already tell you that earlier? My memory can be pretty bad sometimes."

The handfuls of bones, getting sparked and scattered on impact, seem to have no effect on the footstep's pace, though they get quite close by the time he's about to try something with the veil.

Shit.

Move to a new place, keep distance, find a new veil, yank it off, see if I can drape it over the ghost thing.

If not, then there's nothing for it really; get ready to lop it off at the ankles. If it moves predictably and slowly, then I can time my swing fairly well, even get a few practice ones to make sure.

"You didn't explain it earlier, um, I was just trying to say that I could gather most of it from what you guys had said. Already. Sorry."
