"Oh, right. I still really don't appreciate you hijacking li'l Cal." Tech remarked, the unpleasant memory returning to her with Quasar's words. Then, she remembers she forgot her beloved kitten.

Cue Tech exiting the conversation in the most painfully casual yet obvious way.

"Well, if it was the latter, I think I'd be dead by now, but it's hard to get control. I actually turned back a couple minutes ago, though, so don't worry. Barring any screw-ups, I think I can get it cured before it happens again."
