There seemed to be a large candy-cane inside, about the length of her forearm, with a green ribbon on the curvy bit.

(Things dropped, IIRC: Iton's shoe, the marijuana and the mini-guitar, SB's shirt, my coat, bag, and my axe. Let's just assume we're able to find it all and gather it up)

After going around the place with the lights on and no more threat from the robots, they quickly gathered up their stuff and were ready to go, though a thought occurred.
The generator seems to be a portable (if large) model, connected to the fuse box via a single thick cable.
"Hey, think we should loot the generator? I mean, it has those wheels."

(Didn't you go through an odd route in the city to get to this place?  For some reason I remember you going underground twice on your way to the restaurant.)

(we went into a basement, but came right back out beccause it was spooky and there was some kind of demonic flesh-plant. We did cut through stores and rooftops, but I may or may not have a harebrained scheme that means not going back quite the same way.)

(Working on upgrades to the map: instead of linking to the first post in which a room appeared, they'll link to an index with pertinent info on the room clicked. Still including the post-link, though. Got 4 done so far.)

"Or, before you electrocute yourself, you could go and enjoy the fresh air."
"Alright, yeah, let's go outside and let the other two know we're okay."

He joins those heading out through Reception, only to see that Kevak and Prophet no longer seem to be waiting outside.

Tech wastes no time getting to work on the candycane, save the moment she'd taken to wave the animatronics goodbye, a large smile plastered onto the mouth hugging the treat as she chirpily resumes her way towards the door. Approaching the rest of the group, she looks around the entrance. "Wh'arr they?" She says, her inquiry muffled.

((Edit: I had a looming feeling it was plastic, but I'm not going to erase the fact I put it in my mouth. I'd probably do that anyhow.

Unfortunately, the candycane turns out to be plastic, albeit with a very cool mint aftertaste. When she touches the candycane, a small aperture opened and closed on the bottom of it.

Smile receding, Tech removes the faux peppermint stick from her mouth to inspect the opening. Outright, unjust deception! No one fakes a candycane!

The aftertaste was a nice touch, though.

The banging, crying, and crunching continued from behind the manager's desk.
"Well now that's all over, who's up for finding a can of gas and a light?"

Meanwhile...

Kevak and Prophet found the store quite thickly overgrown on the inside, despite there being only a few skylights, rather than large holes in the roof. It felt as if there was some kind of presence in the place, though GLaDOS made some comments to the effect of there being nothing to worry about. At the moment. Most of the merchandise, if it was still there, seemed buried underneath thick layers of roots and vines, but the few bits of packaged food and other tidbits kept them searching. [20] Eventually, they came across what looked like a little treasure chest, a small box of some blackish material with the edges lined with some golden material. Upon pulling it loose, though, the plant it was under seemed to come to life, and others around it seemed to stir in its wake. It soon became apparent that they were hostile, and the spear and pickaxe didn't seem to do much to dissuade them. Soon they were forced to flee out the way they came, taking the box and whatever small merchandise they may have grabbed with them.

"Just as well. Your friends should be finishing up about now. If they survived."
Kevak, presumably with Prophet in tow waits outside the store to see if the plants pursue, seeing they don't he then heads back towards the restaurant after shoving the box and the assortment of preserved food he had grabbed nto his bag.

"There they are!"
"Oh hey! Guys! You don't know how glad we are to see you!"
Then he remembers, and turns down the volume. "So... what have you guys been doing the whole time?"

"I'm surprised you all survived."
"Me too, honestly. That was some fucked-up shit."
"Uh, you know, aside from the maiming?"
He holds up the severed tail and looks over at Iton's shoulder. "Oh, anyone popped that back in yet?"
"Oh, but of course. Two of you are new. That'll be the beginner's luck."
