"Don't be absurd.  We're in a place modeled similar to a Roguelike.  I'm more worried as to why there has barely been any challenge.  Anyway, ready to enter?"

(Nope. You'll have to tell Kyle I guess.)

((You've been told like twice IC. There's a door on the south of the Dogou courtyard that leads back to the Overworld.))

Kyle looks at the door. He sighs and covers his face.
"Not. A. Word."

((We, aside from Kevak and Prophet, entered a very tacky and colorful building that was dark on the inside. So far it seems to be a large arcade with a lasertag arena and a dining area. Party is currently standing in the arcade, wondering which direction to explore.))

((Not gonna a lie, can't wait to get this room started. But it needs some exploration before it does.))

On HugoLuman's prompting, Quasar took a quick fly-around of the room, taking the wisp with him. It wasn't very bright but it did show some things the flashlight had missed due to shadows cast by the arcade machines. He landed back on Iton's shoulder. "There's another hallway on the other side of the room, and off to the right there's a shuttered area."

Spoiler: Explored area (click to show/hide)

Arcvasti recoils from Cal, not just because his namesake is a demon.

*Let's not. In any case, I'm thinking the laser tag arena is our best bet. Maybe they'll have actual lasers. One never knows.*

Crossing the arcade, the group pushed through the double-doors into an elongated staging room. On the either side were lockers for two teams, red on the left and green on the right, each with a door presumably leading into the arena proper. In the middle where they entered was a waiting area with benches and, notably, what looked like a large robot. It had a a very old-fashioned, 60s sci-fi design; blocky with random, pointless dials and antennas for ears. It was dressed in very 90s-looking clothes that would probably be described by whoever made it as "TOTALLY RADICAL", yet with the odd addition of an orange (though non-reflective) high-visibility vest that construction workers might wear, labeled in cheesy futuristic script with "SAFETY" on the front. The bot sat motionless and slightly slumped, with identical signs to either side on the wall behind it that read:

"Rules for lasertag:

No running
No climbing
No blocking score areas
No rough-housing
No touching the robot
No food or drink in the arena

Stay safe!"

Spoiler: here (click to show/hide)

HugoLuman walks over to the robot and leans towards it, then Quasar hops onto him and climbs up to his head to get close enough to confirm. "Hard to be sure, but it doesn't feel any more spooky than the background doom reading. But maybe literally every object here is dangerous."

The robot seems pretty heavy, not shifting from the poke, and doesn't react whatsoever.

"I'd almost say I was disappointed. Almost. So, what now?"
