Kyle shrugs.
"Sure. Not a lot of clean places to sit around here."

[[I vote puzzle. I've been waiting forever to get that damn vault open.]]

(Should be interesting that I have the interior claimed.  Inside it is going to be something...new...I am going to be trying.  Well, depending on when it is opened, it may not be new as I might have tried it in a room I've gone through, but still.)

[16] You manage to cast the veil over it without coming into contact with it yourself, and feel a blast of air as the veil begins sparking, before catching on fire. It stays whipping about and burning over the footprints before it comes apart from the flames. The air is full of dust from all the wind that generated.
"Welp. I have no idea whether that helped me or not. Nothing for it, then."

I aim for the ankle area, like I said I would if it didn't work. Mostly because I have no idea whether that 'worked' in the sense I hoped it would. Welp.
The air is full of dust: you can barely see anything.

Well then I crouch, back away from where I think it is, and watch carefully for footprints. If I still can't see well enough, I'll do 'practice swings' until I hit it.

[6] You swing around a few times before, suddenly, you feel resistance against your blade. Not as if you struck something, but resistance nonetheless. You hear a FRZZT! and feel your arm jerked backwards, though you don't loose your grip on the sword.

Shit shit ow goddamnit-

"Well, that answers that question."

I back the fuck up, and get out of the dust cloud area to try and regain my bearings. Then, if I can, I get a veil and place it on the ground between me and my assailant. Maybe if it steps on it, something'll happen? I don't know.

Wind continues to blow as whatever it is steps through the cloud, striking and sparking the dust tremendously. But the blast pushes all the dust into the furthest corners of the room, creating drifts against the walls and leaving the floor mostly clear. Which, unfortunately, makes the thing very hard to spot. As he looks into one of the alcoves for a veil, he notices the alcoves seem to have some kind of brass circular plaque at the back.

Town center

The buildings in the central plaza of the town were larger and seemed less ramshackle than most of the other buildings Armach had seen so far, though like the others they were in a variety of styles. Atop one, made mostly of brick with bands of metal riveted on, he spotted what looked like a howitzer perched on the roof. None of them were labeled in any way, except for one: a Casino?

In front of the reinforced-looking building, he found several guards congregating, taking questions from many people passing by. They informed Armach that the guard was looking for supply donations and possibly volunteers for a raid on a place called the "Mirham Banquet," to take place tomorrow morning. In the meantime, if anyone had food to donate or knew a place to find some, it would be greatly appreciated.

Armach tells them he would gladly volunteer for the mission and that he knows others who might volunteer. He then leaves in search for his group.

(Group A stuff needs RP for stuff to happen now.)

(Moving things on some more. If IC you'd have objected to this, I'll take note. I just want to get to the relevant part of the puzzle.)

After some discussion, they decided to take out the generator and drag it over to the junction box, plugging it into the "310" slot as that was the only clue they had. This caused the traffic lights at the intersection to light up, and on the ones facing the street they drove in from, they noticed something strange. There were gaps in the LEDs behind each colored lens, causing each light to display a number:

10 40
30 50

Armach turns to Endless and lets him catch up. "Hey, I was going to tell the rest of the group about a "job opportunity" I found. It's a supply run I think."

((Considering jumping back in again, at least for a time. Sorry I haven't been able to play lately; university is eating up the bulk of my time, and modding consuming the rest! Out of curiosity, how is Team Zan doing right now?))

(Zanz is off solo somewhere. You guys made it back to the dungeon, did some rooms, picked up 2 new people (and a respawned Kyle), then went back to town (killing some of those jack-o-lantern monsters on the way). Now you're looking for trades/missions.)

Town Center

After what seemed to be hours, the apparent pirate of the group finally broke his long bout of silence, taking the moment to push his hat upwards slightly, better showing his eyes under the shade it provided. In truth, Kyle's death as well as the revelation of the true nature of this plane (in tandem with Zanzetkuken's subsequent reveal and disappearance) had shaken him rather hard, and muting under great diress was his standard protocol of operation.

"I guess I have yet to formally have introduced myself. Propman would be my moniker; got dumped here a day ago along with some other fellows; currently split into two groups as far as I know, with the person who was originally leading us gone missing. Glad to have you all on the team, ladies and gentlemen. Including you too, Kyle...mister Kyle." He took a deep breath; his eyes appeared to be rather red, like they had dust or some other irritant within them.

"But dang it lad, I hope you learned a thing or two about caution! You getting killed was not a fun thing to watch, and we only managed to get out in time because I suddenly learned magic! I really should be the last person that we rely on saving everyone's hides." he took a look at his wrist device. Though it was nifty and managed to save his life, the prospect of having it permanently latched onto his wrist for weeks on end disturbed him nevertheless. A look at the bottom center also revealed that he was one fifth away from level 5, which would make him the most experienced member of the current team.

After getting that out of his chest, the buccaneer turned back to Armach, standing in a stiff pose as to signify some semblance of discipline. "Well sir, since miss- mister- er, Zanzet is no longer with us for the moment, I guess that makes you the group lead. These folk look like they're in need of supplies, and I know of a place that is teeming with food. Could use a dish myself; don't think I've had anything all day."

I try and see if I can reach the plaque, or, failing that, read it. If I can reach it, I press on it to see if it does anything.
