[Zanzetkuken The Great]

(Just out of curiosity, how many of us know how to use a real rifle? I've never even held one before.)

(The one I came in with I can use with a fair degree of accuracy, but if I got a regular rifle, I'd need to practice to handle the recoil.)

[SOLDIER First]

(I guess, dunno what differences there are in how they handle aside from recoil. Might be better discussed IC once we finish this battle, though.)

[Zanzetkuken The Great]

When Hugo is thrown off the edge, Zanzetkuken mentally curses to herself.  She had miscounted the number, and that resulted in Hugo being thrown off.  This apparently was only a minor inconvenience, but in the future, it could be deadly.  As the one in front of her swung its bat, she dived under it, slicing his knee as she passed to get it in a weakened position.  She silently charged the one who kicked Hugo over the head, and, while it was contemplating jumping down and continuing its assault, she lept up onto its back, and stabbed it in the neck before leaping off.

[SOLDIER First]

SB thanks Hugo for the help. He tries to look around but there's something in his eyes, so he wipes it out. It comes back seconds later.

Oh. That. That's blood. My blood. I'm bleeding.

The pain finally registers itself in SB's clouded mind, as does another thought.
"This is real. This isn't just some shared fantasy or virtual bullshit. It's fucking real and it's happening right now and we're going to fucking die."

[WillowLuman]

HugoLuman climbs to his feet, rubbing his shoulder which had taken the full force of the fall. "What was your first clue?" He realized the sarcasm probably wasn't helping, and tried switching the line of conversation. "Looks like there's one left. Think we might get some info out of him, or do you think they only exist to make the room work?"

[SOLDIER First]

SB slumps against the ramp's barrier and slides to the floor.

"I can't do this."

[WillowLuman]

"H-hey, hang in there. We'll find a way out of this. Right Arc? Zanz?"

[Zanzetkuken The Great]

"I did hear a rumor of a way out...let's finish off this guy first."

[WillowLuman]

"Alright, alright. He doesn't seem to be talking, or acknowledging us in any way... um..." HugoLuman jabs the prone robber in the head with the butt of his spear over the railing, seeming to knock him out. "Think that counts?" Aside from his own squeamishness at killing what were at least close approximations of people, especially the knight who spoke to them earlier, he wasn't sure if he wanted to risk traumatizing SB further by spattering their blood right next to him.

[Arcvasti]

Arcvasti levers himself up, limping more then usual.

**Ow. Ramps aren't any less dangerous then stairs.**

Arcvasti looks around the room.

**You know, traditionally, banks have valuables in them.**

"Really sorry again for stepping on you," HugoLuman says, "but I think you might be right." He points to the now unclaimed gun and the large vault door beneath where the balcony where they came in.

Minefield

¨Anybody still here?¨

[WillowLuman]

"Right, so let's assess the situation. We don't seem to have gained any significant injuries from this one, there's all these bats we could use and possibly sell, and now we have what looks like an army rifle. And possibly some treasure if we can open that vault door. Oh, and Zanz seems to be walking again. Guess the thing worked. So, um, focusing on the here and now, we're doing pretty well, eh?"
