(Hooray for returning people!)

Bookstore

Looking around, HugoLuman sees a sign hanging over the aisle of shelves they've entered into, reading "Science Fiction and Fantasy." Clearly this was a very contemporary society, and not a more enlightened futuristic one. He began looking at the titles on the shelf. It seemed, as might be expected, to be arranged by author's last name, though he didn't recognize any of them except for a couple misplaced "Ray Bradbury" books near the top. They all seemed to be "B" names, except that from the middle to the end of the shelf, the books showed only titles, not authors.

"The Adventures of Likot Soapeater... Roll to Roll to Dodge... holy crap, Spearbreakers?"

GentlemanRaptor ambles through the gap and into the bookstore. A display marked "Banned Books" catches his eye.

"'Farming Mermaids for Fun and Profit'? 'The Tale of Obok Meatgod'? Christ this place has some messed up books. You guys find anything useful?

Amusingly, he's a Marksdwarf, which gives me the mental image of him conducting medical malpractice an appendectomy from fifty paces with a crossbow.
On bay12, a poll option of basically 'nuke the world' named 'Apocalypse Hitler' is like asking an alcoholic if they want some whiskey.

Kevak wanders over to the scifi section and begins looking through the books. He grabs one and after a quick flip through, slips it into his bag.

HugoLuman's ego gets the better of him for a moment, and he glances through for a certain title, (9) but does not see it. He resolves not to distract himself looking further, though Quasar laughs knowingly, which HugoLuman tries to brush off. "So, we've got books about forum stuff, all mixed in with real books and possibly unrelated nonreal ones. I'll admit to ignorance about some of these titles. I've got to wonder, have we stumbled into some world where our forum is some kind of pop culture thing? Or is this contrived?"

He wandered over towards Nonfiction, looking for any kind of newspaper or magazine near the shelves that might offer some kind of clue about this room.

You find several magazines with oddly dressed people on them, as well as travel brochures.

HugoLuman picks up a couple of the magazines, looking at the titles and the tables of contents.

Arcvasti takes the "Tales of Obok Meatgod" book and [Semi]quietly rips the pages into shreds, scattering them across the floor. After about a minute of browsing in the fantasy section,[15] he found what he was looking for and started leafing through it.

**Figured it was too good to be true to find a book about anything relevent.**

Arcvasti, scanning titles, notices something titled Questravagers.

**This is misfiled. The rest of the books in here are about forum games, not community forts.**

As Arcvasti starts leafing through the book, a piece of paper falls out of it. He picks it up and examines it.

**My god this handwriting is hard to read. And recognizable. Its mine.

Arcvasti squints and begins reading the note out loud.

**Arcvasti,

I figured this would reach you, mainly because I ran across this note when I WAS you. Apologies for not being able to be more informative, because deviating from the exact wording I remember is a bad idea. When I found this note, it said "Remember your Clarity". You'll know what to do when the time comes. I know **I** did and therefore, so will you.**

Arcvasti folds up the note and puts it in a pocket.

**The helpfulness. Is exceeding a certain amount in quantity.**

EDIT:[Edited to be less meta.]

[[I'd say that Act 1 of this forum game is TECHNICALLY dead, as the thread is locked and there are no more new posts in it. Also I forgot.]]

One magazine appears to be a picture of an anthropomorphic panther person posing seductively in a vaguely familiar outfit. The magazine appears to be a a fashion magazine. ..That or it's a porn mag based on some of the stuff in the table of contents..

Another has a picture of a fairly large man wearing what appears to be a fairly generic spandex superhero outfit. The coloration and design reminds you of a dog. The contents appear to be the standard jibbering that celebrity magazines have.

The third magazine appears to be a scientific magazine based on the contents. Th cover has a picture person in a white labcoat with a crazed look on his face shooting a laser from some sort of device.

"Nope." He discards the first one. The second one seemed to be a tabloid, and due to many other factors besides he was disinclined to take it at face value, but it seemed to indicate the man on the cover was an actual superhero who operated in this city. Before he could take a closer look at the one with the overenthusiastic scientist, he heard Arcvasti read the note. "So, our future selves came through here at some point in the past relative to us to leave that note? Also, that does sound supremely unhelpful, but this just gets curiouser and curiouser. Also, check out these magazines. There seem to have been some odd current events before whatever happened here."
