**You said you had paper and a pencil. Might not be a bad idea to write down the house numbers for the whole "getting the vault open" thing.**

"Good idea." HugoLuman takes out his mechanical pencil and notebook, flipping to the back where the blank pages are. The numbers on the buildings from the last block seem to start from 47 and count up. He also writes down the 310, and the 5 and 2.

So um.... Why are we in the room full of big cats again? I mean I love cats but the bigger ones are kinda scary.

"We're looking for a way into the bank's vault, and the first clue we found was to follow that line that led us here, which was a note saying... um... 'asterisk to X,' I think. I'm guessing the intersection is the X."

"It might be more useful than the pickaxe if we have to fight off a big cat, then. If one attacks, try shining it directly into their eyes, maybe wave it back and forth to strobe them."

I'll try that if it happens. ((Seriously though. That flashlight is stupidly bright. Don't stare into it for several seconds, retinal searing is a possibility if you do.))

"I dunno, these cars look like they've been abandoned for a while. That mountain lion did say she saw 'something like us' in a building near the center of town, though. Who knows what happened here? It kinda reminds me of something from SCP, except that one had a fungus that killed everything but the cats."

HugoLuman shrugs. "Could be a long, dangerous walk. On the other hand, maybe whoever's still around wrote that note and left these clues about the bank. As is, I have no clue about this puzzle, and sitting around here could be just as dangerous."

Staying inside buildings is likely safer if we plan to trek to the center of town.

"Yeah, unless they turn out to be more rooms, but if not we could go by rooftops. If we go into an apartment building, the walls between units might even be breakable, as they don't often actually support the building."
