A dwarf child had an incident with a kobold and lost his ability to grasp.
He has recently come to age and claimed a room.
Now he wants to fill his room with stuff, but can't, too injured.

I had planned to give him a job in the engravers guild so he wouldn't have to haul things, but he just stands around naked canceling store own item jobs.

What should be done with him?

Immediate thoughts are to arrange an unfortunate accident. Either in a poorly planned military exercise (patrolling the spot where the kobolds typically show up while naked and alone) or help out with a mine cart experiment.
However, I prefer not to deliberately kill off dwarves, but I can't think of anyway to make this dwarf a productive member of society.

You can try to station or burrow him, and dump the items in question.

Take a way his room for a click, similar to a party.

Maybe have him as a watch dwarf? Station him at a secondary entrance, with a few dogs assigned, and maybe a pair of marksdwarves as well, but individually position him farther. Without grasp, however, he will be unable to eat.

Make him captain of a biting-and-kicking based military squad... Or if he's gone nuts, try using him to train doctors when he passes out from blood loss
