Endurance does matter, you'd just start cracking and crumbling into pieces instead of bleeding.

But I will have so much mass that it would take a game-shattering level spell to destroy me. I fail to see how losing a little more mass every time I'm struck will matter, especially since I can just mend and reabsorb my lost pieces, or replace them, if they are removed.
