control staff

There are a few things different with the new Perplexicon rules. Notably, there is no "control" word. That might've thrown a quite large spanner into your works.

And why would you want a staff? Wizard staffs have been done to death. Get a wizard pickaxe instead. Or a table.

Not my fault though. There is no word for control in the rulebook.

I guess I could add a word for control, but it'd be pretty obvious what it would be.

Still, you can control things. For example, you could become a flesh elemental and control others to stop their hearts.

or you could hide it around the arena. text that only become visible when exposed to X

Control doesn't seem necessary since there are already ways to control elements without the word. Besides, all it takes is one person to find it, make 10 control rings of different elements, and break the game.

Piecewise made a thing in his first game where having multiple control items near each other had unpleasant consequences. Nothing happened with three items, but they seemed to build up energy and act somewhat nastily by my interpretation.

Part of me wants to say "no, there's already a method of elemental control" but another part wants to say "there's potentially other uses for the control word."  I'd say if you can think of a swath of a big words to add- at least 30- then sure.  But it should probably be pretty pricey- like five or so.

try not to make it to pricey but yha. covering it up with other words would be great.......a word for suiside would snatch unwary researchrs.....though you may need a rule agianst useing it to make others kill them selves.

Dermonster/Real!Derm - Got instakilled by radiation from his failed spell.
Beirus/Beirus - Was in the same room as Real!Derm while he failed his spell. Radiation is bad.
akkudakku/Simon - Was above Real!Derm while he failed his spell. Irradiated to death.

I was checking the OP and saw this (I kind of remember it). Fake!Derm has a lot to live up to.

Will send out a PM to blazing glory momentarily. If I don't get his action within the next 24 hours I'll just skip him. Got Beirus' an hour ago.

Since it seems there aren't that many objections to adding "control" I'll add that soon. Probably next turn, or the one after it. The effect will most likely be weaker than the "become elemental" way of doing it. Might think of some more restrictions for it.
