Thrakor, finally deciding that he needs to spread the <3, sprints toward the Pit, where Steffen attempts to murderize Varee, who simply wants to experiment.

In the same instant as Steffen, who attempts to throw a punch at Varee's face, which he manages to dodge, Thrakor arrives halfway through the hallway and speaks the words of power. A giant glob of flame, which behaves similarly to goo appears in the air, in front of the <3mancer. The mass of gooey flame quickly surges like a wide beam towards Steffen and, by proxy, Varee. Varee, having just moved out of the way of the punch simply cannot react in time. Steffen, however, attempts to move out of the way, but fails to do so, as the beam of flame engulfs him. The fire goo hits both of them, the flames sticking to them.

You quickly move toward the platform, grab the halberd and somewhat clumsily carve the words into your flesh. When you finish the last letter, you feel a surge of magical energy throughout your body. The magic begins to change your body, but it seems like it doesn't want to be controlled by you.

And we have our first self transformation. There are two ways to do this - you've just seen the first way. One is permament (but gives control over the element), the other is not.
You can of course transform or imbue objects as well.
