The metal melts. That is disappointing.
Try science.

No problem.

Turn in ~2-3 hours.

You're doing pretty well for a first time GM; especially considering how many tabs you probably have open to run the game.

PTW. Won't play because I honetly don't really like the new pool system. Or at least I don't find it !!fun!! enough.

Also, for what I'm seeing, the amount of rolling here seems to be overwhelming.

Yeah I'm not entirely sure why they changed it. It seems entirely too slow and cumbersome.

Well, maybe so that the "kill yourself" potential was lower, and so that nobody got the SUPAH OP WERD from the start. I can see some use to prevent that.

In exchange for making the game start off horrifically slow.

That seems to have been offset in part by the amount of stat points. I see it more as a chore for the GM.

PW was tinkering with the system before it got set aside for other games.

Also, slow?  I already have a murder spell.

EDIT:  Plus, once combat starts, it'll be over quickly.  People can cast their full load every turn.

EDIT2:  Which brings the question.  GM, how are you handling combat?  Are you doing actions/reactions?

Well, now I am doing actions/reactions.
You can react to the actions of others using logical clauses - "IF <condition> THEN <action>". More than 2 clauses per turn will get -x to all of your reactions (x being amount of reactions, not counting the first 2). It's hard to think that fast.
If it proves to be too cumbersome, I'll change to something else. Suggestions are welcome.

In other news, turn will be coming shortly (less than 30 minutes, most likely).

Turn 4

Poke the crystal. With my finger. If it doesn't murder me, then LICK IT!
It's a crystal. Can't be dangerous. To confirm your thoughts, you reach out your hand to touch the thing.

[END:2+1=3]

As you touch the crystal, you don't feel anything wrong. So you feel it up some more. Then you look at your finger and it's cut up quite badly. Bleeding, too.

Looks like you cut yourself so cleanly that you didn't even feel the pain during the first few seconds.

[Bleeding]
ಠ_ಠ
Unfettered by the impression of the magic here being bullshit, you continue casting spells.

[POT:6,3,3=2 vs DC:2. Success.]

You summon... nothing? That can't be right. Perhaps whatever you summoned isn't visible to the naked eye. You try to identify what it is by smell, but it looks like it's odorless.

[POT:2,6,3=2 vs DC:2. Success.]

A gust of wind blows by you.
No magicking?

It's bad for you.

Really!

Also wear the intestines like a jaunty sash

You wrap the intestines around your waist. They're kind of warm. And disgusting. But a man gotta do what a man gotta do for fashion.

Back to science!

[POT:2,6,4,5=4 vs DC:5. Dropping word. Success.]

[WIL:4=4]

You momentarily feel an urge to kill someone. You manage to control yourself though.

[POT:4,3,3,4,1=1 vs DC:6. Fizzle.]

Seeing no reason not to continue your studies, you cast another spell. It fizzles.
Try again, dammit!
This damn word isn't going to make a fool out of you. You're going to cast it or die trying.

[POT:3,4,2,5,6,5=5 vs DC:5. Success.]

You summon a small glob of a green/yellow substance. It drops to the ground. Finally you have bested this damned word! Then you take a closer look at the fluid. It appears to be very slowly eating through the floor.
"Should have used gold, I guess."

Aim 3 spells at separate rocks. 2 Pool each.
Ark-Yue
Ebex-Yue
Yurif-Yue
You decide not to bother with your lost fingers and begin trying to decipher the meaning of words on a completely different page.

[POT:4,4=2 vs DC:3. Fizzle.]

Nothing happens.

[POT:3,4=1 vs DC:4. Fizzle.]

The spell fizzles.

[POT:6,6=4 vs DC:2. Re-rolling. POT:1,5=0. Total: 4vs2.]

You successfully cast your spell. You feel the air move. It's hard to gauge where, but maybe towards the rock?
Lets try this! If perhaps a weapon is conjured (or something that can be used to bludgeon people) TAKE IT!

"More Science! Bwahahaha!"
You think you might be able to summon the first real weapon in this arena.

[POT:3,5,6,5=4 vs DC:4. Success.]

You summon a meter long, semi-thick spike made out of a light metal. Well, it isn't a real weapon, but you can stab fools all the same. You take it.

[POT:5=1 vs DC:1. Success.]

You summon an image of a cylinder. It quickly fades away.

[POT:2=0 vs DC:1. Fizzle.]

Then you fail.
The metal melts. That is disappointing.
Try science.

Disappointed by the melting belt, you set your mind on creating something different. With science!

[POT:2,4=1 vs DC:1. Success.]

You summon an image of a breastplate. It fades away.

[POT:2,5=1 vs DC:1. Success.]

You summon a pair of ghostly gauntlets. They disappear after a few seconds.

[POT:6,1=1 vs DC:1. Success.]

You summon a pair of boots. They fade away.

[POT:3,3=0 vs DC:1. Fizzle.]

Nothing happens. But you think you may have an idea of what it might be.

[POT:4,1=0 vs DC:1. Fizzle.]

Nothing again. Feeling that you will need some protection, you break one of the longer branches. It might be better than your fists, but it will probably break when used.

one each again.
You continue to cast large amount of spells in an effort to confuse some otherworldly power again.

[POT:2=0 vs DC:3. Fizzle.]

Nothing.

[POT:3=0 vs DC:4. Fizzle.]

Once again, nothing.

[POT:6=2 vs DC:2. Success.]

Nothing? Perhaps you need to combine this word with other ones?

[POT:6=2 vs DC:2. Success.]

Nothing again? How?

[POT:3=0 vs DC:4. Fizzle.]

Nothing. This time you do feel that you actually failed.

[POT:1=-1 vs DC:2. Failure.]

Nothing once more.

[POT:2=0 vs DC:3. Fizzle.]

And nothing.

[POT:6=2 vs DC:2. Success.]

You succeed, and yet... nothing.

[POT:3=0 vs DC:0. Success.]

Nothing!

[POT:4=1 vs DC:0. Success. Would re-roll, but there's no point.]

Yep, nothing again.

[POT:3=0 vs DC:2. Fizzle.]

You begin to think that you will gain nothing from this round of research.

[POT:6=2 vs DC:0. Again, even if I re-roll, nothing will change.]

Nothing!!

[POT:4=1 vs DC:1. Success.]

And once more!

[POT:2=0 vs DC:4. Fizzle.]

And to finish this up, you actually fail.

GM Note
Added a word. Accidentally missed it while creating the book.
