You can totally just do it alone as well.  A lot of people play on servers 'solo' like, chat, trade, occasionally work together on prokects but otherwise just hermit.  You can of course also ask to join someone.

Heya, logged in once the other day, said hi, and wandered into the wilderness between spawn and the bay harbor whatever i hear is there.
I have no idea what i'm doing, in a social sense. i know the mods, i know what to do, just not where or with who.

when i get proper internet. Im planning on building an underwater base near the harbour if you want to join.

No, join the dwarf fortress at -1000, 600! There are hundreds of other people already living there, we have all resources you would ever need, everything!

Mind that we'll need someone to send our trading caravans to.
Afterall, we will be the proper mountain home

It appears you cannot even launch infinity with 32bit  Java. When I finally get  chance to build feel free to help settle / create the  Terrifying Forest of Anvils.

PS: I will be buying Sinister nodes, unless I can find a way to breed them.(or possibly spawners)

EDIT: ~-1,000, 1,500

EDIT2: And the very awesome people at /r/FeedTheBeastCrashes/, have just informed me I apparentally have 64x installed on my laptop all along 0.o But there is a bug with 32x Browsers (most of them) that causes Java to misread your OS.

Not so much a bug as the browser is 32-bit, so java thinks you want 32bit.

Minecraft decided that I was having too good of a time and is now disconnecting from the server after half a second with the message "A fatal error has occurred, this connection will be terminated." Has anyone ever seen this?

Have you tried disabling your firewall?

McFry, if you're able to edit inventories, could you delete terminal glasses from mine? They might be preventing me from playing.

V. 1.2.0 not V. 1.2.1 Correct?

Also after a re-install of basically everything the pack is now ~4MB smaller for no apparent reason. (It wasn't the firewall sadly) Hopefully it works this time. Not the way I envisioned spending a day off I'll admit (Though Homestuck is proving to be quite charming)

EDIT: Much Hate, so much. Why a successfully resolved READ! error is preventing the download is beyond me. and given the sub-par internet down here and the ~30 min dl. It is nearly impossable to avoid one slow spot. :l Much Hate.

Is the pack actually getting downloaded? Does a window pop up with a progress bar?

Your anti-virus might be preventing FTB from writing to your hard drive. Disable it and launch FTB as administrator.

Ah, also make sure to select 1.2.0 AND to delete /FTB/FTB Infinity.

The FTBInfinity folder is empty save for a Version file with 0KB size.

It goes through the 30+ min DL each time, and I have all of my antivirus disabled at this point, even the windows stuff.

I can't beleive I didn't check about Administrator, lets see if that helps. :l

/FTB/FTBInfinity ??

EDIT: It did not work, this is frustrating.

I could DL just fine when I was running 32x, but even after re-reinstalling 64x it just isn't working.

I'm just waiting to get a issue resolved, and then hopefully I can get onto the server. At the moment it appears my main issue is tied to the launcher dropping 403s when I try to download a dying horse and the sound of breaking glass. From vanilla minecraft 1.7.10.

So in summary, this is stupid and I hope you all are having a good time.

try moving your FTB launcher to C:/FTB and setting the download directory their I had a similar problem with dark trilogy and that seamed to fix it.
