The coolest artifact I have ever had would be a sheep(?)bone floodgate that depicted the drowning of a dwarf.

Obviously, it has a safety warning on it: "Don't drown yourself".

A nethercap cup would be awesome, since nethercap wood is fixed at 0 degrees celsius. Instantly chill any beverage you put in it.

sadly my artifacts are lame.....but I do have some hypothetical ones floating in my head that would be epic if I ever had one. I was discussing the planed magic implementations and ended up coming up with this when someone mentioned that he would like to see some of them have religious ties

this is an magical artifact short sword. all craftdwarfship is of the highest quality. electricity courses through its blade.
it is made of silver and encircled with bands of gold opal. it menaces with spikes of gold. on the item is the image of a dwarf and (some god of lightning here) in silver. the (god of lightning) is smiting the dwarf.

the sword is considered sacred by the followers of (lightning god)



one of these days....I will actually get a moderately impressive artifact ONE OF THESE DAYYYYYSSSSSSSSSS!

why is it almost none of my already lame artifacts ever get spikes? ITS PROGRAMED INTO THE RAWS TO HAVE A HIGH SPIKE CHANCE!

I just got this a couple minutes ago, and this seems like a good thread to put it in When I saw it was a hood I knew it'd be spiky and uncomfortable to wear, but I didn't expect the ominous image:

"Spikes" of leather. Sure. Funny that a hood had a louse on it. Just consider it a nest box for giant lice.

I got a solid aventurine animal trap once. I still wonder how the guy carved that out of a single gem. Or even two or three.

I've got an emerald hatchcover named Soloz Kadol. In case if your dwarvish is rusty, that means 'The Worship of Gems' I put it over the entrance to my gem cutting facility.

Put I would like the Nethercap cup. I mean, its one of the only that I would like in reality.

Zebermetul, the most legendary artifact in my most legendary fort. The Fort That Never Fell was protected largely by five dwarves in full adamantine armor with steel and adamantine weapons. Zebermetul was one of their battle axes. It killed the last of the megabeasts on the planet, drawn by the forts vast wealth and population. It turned away countless goblin sieges, and eventually saw the last greenskin depart from the realm. Hell itself feared this weapon (actually I think it bugged that time because demons did not spawn in hell at all). Even the foul creatures one could imagine only in nightmares were easily cleaved by Zebermetul.

According to Therapist, the guy using it wound up being Legendary +40some before the fort, and world, were abandoned due to boredom.

I have a platinum whip artifact and an adamantine pick artifact. I had a legendary lasher+miner using a steel pick and silver whip before. Time for an upgrade.
