Who would be interested in a forum game which has the same mechanics as this, but is set in Mengalir's past (before the golden age of walled off monsters and etcera.) And has a wider choice for races and has a class system?

You just want to get out out of the mess you made with airships, but I am interested.

I am willing to have airship combat skipped for the most part, and only handle situations such as boarding.

Vengeance is mine saith the Lord but this morning. He's going to fucking well have to share.

Is she worth it, would you burn the city to save her? For her, I'd burn the world.

18 total with  3 racial points and 15 spent.

Had to use a calculator before I got a 15.

My math skills seem to be a bit off today.

Wait, I'm confused now... Are the racial bonuses in points (IE, +1 = 1 point) or in increments (+1 = 3 points, or one stat increase)?

Their stat increases.

But then shouldn't everyone have more points than they use now?

I don't think so...

Though Sinvara made a mistake and had 3 more points left,he told me through a PM,it's fixed now.

Everyone's stats and skills are how they should be.

Okay, take Patrick Hunt for instance.
Strength: 3
Intelligence:
Dexterity: 6
Endurance: 3
Charisma: 6
I'm assuming these are points put in the stat. No skills makes this easy. As a human, he has +1 stat increase in charisma, strength, and dex. 1 stat increase means 3 points. So:
Strength: 3
Intelligence:
Dexterity: 3
Endurance:
Charisma: 3
And then it costs only 9 more points to get to his final stats, but he has 15.

I have the feeling I'm making a huge and terribly obvious mistake here, but I can't find it...

Yeah,I didn't say that they increased stats by 3,a 1+ racial stat increase is a 1+ stat increase,not a 3+ stat increase.

Besides,if it worked like that then it'd just make things harder to track for me.

Anyway, update coming, just got caught up on stuff like how the propellers are powered or where the metal comes from.

Hopefully I'll come up with something without resorting to flying islands.

4 players,enough to start.

The Dwarf City of Kar Tharim, one of the outer settlements, the airships come and collect exports and bring them to the capital, that's how the Dwarfs do things, rather then have kings and lords, they run on guilds, one settlement per guild, the wood growers guild for example, has large areas dedicated to growing trees using dirt and seeds collected during evacuation, the wood is then loaded onto airships and sent to the capital, which is ruled by the craftsdwarf guild, the wood is then produced into tools, furniture, wood is also distributed to the settlements, the head guild master deciding what quantities it is sent, this system tends to apply to other resources with some modification for each resource type as well.

There's also an intimidating amount of guns,as it is required for the outer settlements, not so much as to defend against pirates as to fend off dragons and other airborne creatures, people still have no idea where they come from,it's speculated that there's some kind of "Monster island" of sorts kept afloat through some means, otherwise the monsters would just fall out of the sky from exhaustion eventually,or maybe they never get tired,it's not like anyone has managed to observe one long enough to tell, regardless of where they come from, they make good food if you can catch them, this is the hunters guild, which is why there's a lot of harpoon guns, equipped both on airships and the city.

The 4 of you are facing the dock master, the Dwarf is rather round, somewhat old,he has a rather annoyed look, probably because you asked him about the Destruction which could be better answered by a library,or maybe one of the older Elves.

The 4 of you tell him your names.

"And what is your business here?"

"Ugh,you know what? Never mind,I'm in a hurry, here's a map of the city."
He shoves a map into Thorgrim's hands. Any questions? No? Good. he then half runs somewhere else.

The map provides directions to various locations of interest, the library, numerous pubs and bars, the market, prison, the residential district, the guild house, and of course, the dock.

"Well, first things first. We'll need a new hangout, and a job. I'd say we earn a day's work first and then sample the pubs 'round here. The guild will have work, they always do."
Without waiting for an answer, Thorgrim starts walking.

Louis blatantly ignores what Thorgrim said, before walking off in search of a library.

Go to the guild house and ask to speak with the guild master.
