The Lady laughed - a heartfelt burst of merriment.
"My, my! What have I done to endure such hostility?"

Her eyes still shone, but it was with the gleam of razors.
"Now, would that be wise to try, Dead Man Bill? No doubt you five could beat me. Quantity does have a quality and all that. But I would not go quietly, and such notice is something you'd like to avoid. Now shall we focus on the task at hand, instead of idle threats?"

What do I know of the Seven heroes?

"What have done? Nothing, my Lady. That is why I do not trust you in the slightest."
This was only part of the reason, in truth.

"Well, this is a very amusing conversation, but I've an appointment to keep.  Until tonight."  Ilandrinal stands up from his seat and casually leaves the inn.

Proceed to the meeting.

Raii giggles.
"Ooh, did my tongue slip? Why, I have a cat's share of them, don't I?
"I would love to go with you. I promise I'll keep my entrepreneurship to a minimum while I'm out with you, and perhaps you could show me a thing or two about your swordsmanship?"

He coughs.
"Lady Joanna, perhaps it would be wise not to blackmail them with a public outcry. I tried that and wound up unable to harm a hair on their heads; I'm not sure which one is the 'mind-slaver', as you put it.
"Well, my good swordsman, shall we be off?"

He then turns back to a cat and leaps onto Dereth's shoulder, like a familiar would his wizard.

"The 'mind-slaver' would be Galia, here." Bill gestures towards Galia.
"'Mind-slaver' is quite good. It took me two weeks to come up with that one after I first met her."

"Um, yes, that's kind of my specialty."

Galia leans back a bit.

"If we're pairing up, I imagine that'd stick me with Mr. Enigma over there who just left. Should I just head out alone or something? He doesn't seem like he's coming back any time soon."

Time: 0100
Weather: Bright due to Moon.

The Sovereign Jester [[Illandrial and The Strange Man]]

"Hello there my friend. I see you found me alright? Forgot where we were supposed to meet?" The Strange Man smiles broadly as you walk slowly back into the Sovereign Jester where the meeting was supposed to be. "I've been waiting here for quite some time."

A Street [[Dereth and Raii]]

Despite searching for an hour you've had no luck finding anyone matching the elf's description. Though a few people mention having met her at some point most seem to be foggy on where she currently is. Specifically the old 'wizard' with patchwork robes and a fake staff mentions her.

"I saw her alright. She was adancing and asinging the whole time! Saw her two weeks ago. Asked her, I did, asked her when the next show was. She says that the Templars are after her. Could you imagine? Templars. Hah! Nothing but superstitious non-sense cooked up by mage mommies to tell their children to get them to behave. Said she was heading off to Forecrest. More people to get lost there."

Another Street [[Bill and Lady Joanna]]

The two religious folk have been searching for an hour with absolutely no luck. Few people have been in the streets and not a single elf with green hair... It's rather unfortunate. Even more unfortunate is the man in plate armor who has been tailing you for the past five minutes who apparently doesn't understand that being nearly 8' tall and wearing plate will not make you stealthy.

Spoiler: Lady Joanna (click to show/hide)

Yet another Street [[Galia, Ganron, and Statia]]

Well your... well for lack of a better term 'mind slaves' have been dutifully keeping an eye out but none of you are able to find anyone matching the elves description. You do, briefly, see Bill and the woman from earlier.

"Should we tell them we haven't found anything?"

"Seems a bit rude mo. No need to report until we have something to report I think."

Lady Joanna sighed, though she was smiling.

"It's darling the way they try to use cunning."

"Follow me. Remember, he'll be more useful alive than dead."
Find an alley and turn off into it.

The Lady followed, humming happily. At least she'd have a thing to eat tomorrow.

Follow.

The man doesn't seem to be following you into the alley. After several minutes he speaks, in a deep pleasing tone, and fails utterly to hide how bored he is with the whole incident.

"Milady, if you would please come out. This would be much easier for all of us if you simply come with us willingly. Your father misses you greatly and your mother... well she's still furious but much less so as your father has spoken with her at length."

Use Disguise Self to appear like the Lady.
Bill whispers to the Lady "On three, we run. We split up and loop back around to the catacombs. Questions?"

"Mage... mommies? And you're sure she said Templar?"
Raii turns around and addressees Dareth.
"Is this guy for real? Can I buy him and keep him as a pet?"

The 'wizards' face falls "B-b-buy? Cages!? Y-you're one of them! Agh! Good job Carl! Ya let on that you know things. Now they'll never leaves you alone. I gotsta hide!" The 'wizard' waved his 'staff' and promptly turned to run... Unfortunately he did so straight into a wall knocking himself out cold.
